The 1966 Koubru Expedition: A Journey to the Sacred Origins
On the quiet dawn of 7 March 1966, a group of determined individuals—members of the Meitei community and dedicated volunteers—embarked on a journey that would etch itself into the collective memory of the Meetei people. This wasn’t merely an expedition into the serene and mist-covered Koubru Hills; it was a spiritual return, a purposeful pilgrimage to the cradle of ancestral memory, to the very place believed to be the origin of human settlement for the Meetei.
The decision to set forth was not spontaneous. It resulted from deliberate discussions and consensus built in the meeting held on 27 February 1966. With hearts full of reverence and a sense of duty, the group resolved to build not just a shelter hut, but a symbolic structure—an embodiment of resilience, identity, and remembrance. The shelter was to serve as a space of reflection and study, a station for research into the deep-rooted heritage that binds generations of Meeteis to the sacred slopes of Koubru.
The volunteers were not archaeologists or scholars by profession; they were guardians of memory, bearers of a sacred responsibility. In many ways, the 1966 Koubru Expedition represents more than a historical footnote—it is a beacon. It reminds us of the power of collective action, the importance of remembering, and the quiet strength found in honouring one's origins.
Let us continue to honour that spirit.

It is very unfortunate that the National Media often invite people with zero knowledge on ground realities about Manipur are invited as resource persons for debates and discussions!
Suspension of Operations arrangements have worked with various insurgent groups in north-east in past. But in case of Kuki millitant groups, it is creating havoc because SOO terms and conditions are not being strictly enforced. This is creating distrust in Meitei community and if this situation is allowed to persist, China may get a new opening in Manipur. @AnchorAnandN and myself in discussion over nuances of situation in Manipur @CNNnews18
Meitei women sticking to courtesy are seen addressing this officer by "Aap". They aren't abusing him but asking absolutely relevant questions as regards their protection against Kuki terrorism. But his response to such a delicate situation is utterly disgraceful. For his antics he should be sent to Kapil Sharma Show. Not Manipur.

India's National Security has become a JOKE ?!
Illegal immigrants, such as the Bangladeshi YouTuber Tahsan Rakib, are openly sharing tips on 'How to Enter India Illegally,' making a mockery of our national security for content and gaining over a million views.
The concerning part is that we don't even know who is entering our country or how many illegal immigrants are coming through these open borders. What if criminals, terrorists, or individuals who incite riots exploit these weak borders?
What if these illegal migrants are causing significant demographic changes that vote-bank appeasing politicians prefer to remain silent about?
This poses a severe threat to India’s national security, yet authorities have taken no action. If we can spot this easily, why can’t they? Why are they turning a blind eye?
We are exposing the entire modus operandi of this illegal immigration industry on the Gaurav Thakur YouTube channel to put pressure on the government to act on sealing these weak borders. After all, each and every Indian deserves a peaceful night's sleep at the very least. #IndiaAgainstIllegalImmigrants

The Ocean Cleanup, a Dutch non-profit organization, has developed the Interceptor, an autonomous system designed to collect plastic pollution from rivers before it reaches the sea. This solar-powered system complements their ongoing efforts to remove plastic waste from the oceans by addressing the problem at its source.
Manipur, is home to numerous rivers that contribute significantly to the region's ecosystem and the livelihoods of its people. However, like many areas, Manipur faces challenges with plastic pollution in its waterways. Implementing the Interceptor technology in Manipur could provide a robust solution to this problem. The Interceptor presents a transformative approach to addressing riverine plastic pollution and can significantly benefit regions like Manipur. By intercepting plastic waste at its source, this technology helps protect aquatic ecosystems, supports local economies, and promotes sustainable environmental practices. The adoption of such innovative solutions is crucial in the global effort to combat plastic pollution and safeguard our natural waterways for future generations.

I appreciate the relentless efforts of the Minor Irrigation Department.
The officials, working in collaboration with local authorities, clubs, and volunteers, have been working tirelessly day and night to ensure the swift removal/pumping out of water from populated and residential areas to restore normalcy, allowing businesses to resume and daily activities to continue.
