The Florida Republican primary candidates need to organize their own debate and invite Byron Donalds. Millions of Floridians will watch and it will hurt Donalds if he doesn't show up.
Let's get this going @JayCollinsFL@j_fishback@RonDeSantis
@TigressCynthia@ThisThatOther2 If the other 3 candidates for FL governor held a debate w/o Donalds, I'd definitely watch it and I doubt it would be in Donalds' interest to skip it. It would reinforce the view that Donalds doubts he will measure up and that he expects to win only via Trump's endorsement.
Investigate them for what? Publix can charge whatever they want for their products, and we are free to shop around and also to publicize their high prices. We also have Winn-Dixie, Aldi, Wal-Mart, BJs, and many others.
I do not want government employees paid with my tax dollars wasting time on something like this unless it is suspected that a law has been broken. Having steep prices is not illegal unless it is done selectively at the time of a hurricane or some similar situation.
@AlexForbesOps Well Lowes gives me 5% off for using a Lowe's credit card and Home Depot gives ZERO. So there's that.
But Home Depot is more likely to have what I want if I'm working on an electrical or tiling project.
I think they fear that a debate would cause one of the other candidates to stand out from the pack.
As long as the others are behind in a 2nd tier, Donalds is relatively safe from them. Smells a bit of insecurity, lack of confidence, and cowardice. Someone who knows he's good is willing to take on all comers in the public square.
I don't know any conservatives who are inspired by Byron Donalds. Received another mailer from him this week. Bullet points are always something he voted for in Washington (claiming HE eliminated taxes on tips, for example), or a FL issue that I don't think he's ever taken a stand on or put any effort into in the past.
Managers across corporate America spend much of their careers trying to make do with static or shrinking budgets, where county and city managers have had more and more money to spend, thanks to rising home values and fixed millage rates. Spend what you have or lose it, so they spend it. It's human nature and they will only spend less when they have less to spend.
@GovGoneWild Is there documentation of the waste in these counties, or is it just based on %growth in spending relative to inflation? I want some hard-hitting bullet points, please.
@MrJoeGillis Rankings must have been done by youngsters who never watched anything older than Alien. I get how they might think 2001 is low-action and kind of slow, but there is tremendous beauty in the pacing, the music, and in considering it was made in the 1960s.
@Gtwy@Tryangle Yep, 25% for me on E*TRADE, where I have a lot more money, activity, and history than in Fidelity which gave me 100% of what I requested...
@ashwinmatta@Clifford98506 Just got my full 20 shares on Fidelity. Waiting on E*TRADE. I was worried since so many were posting their Fidelity allocations. Perhaps they are doing it in tranches.
