华盛顿是谁？
美国独立战争总司令。
大陆军几乎崩溃时，是他把那支破烂军队撑住了。
美国建国后，他又两届总统后主动交权，给后来两百多年的宪政传统立了规矩。

这些当然不能抹掉奴隶制的污点。
但同样，奴隶制的污点也不能把一个人的全部历史功能抹掉。

极左教育最厉害的地方，就在这里。
它不一定撒谎。
它只需要挑一块事实，反复放大，然后把其他事实静音。
最后孩子脑子里留下的，不是完整的人，不是复杂的历史，而是一套现成的道德标签。

父母以为孩子在学美国史。
孩子实际上在学如何厌恶美国。

这才是文化战争真正发生的地方。
不是国会辩论，不是电视节目，不是竞选集会。
是在教室里，在课本里，在一个孩子第一次听见“华盛顿”这个名字时，脑子里被放进去的第一个词。

但现实是，情怀是免费的，生活却是有价格标签的。
当你真正进入社会，拿到第一张工资单，看着被政府生生抽走的一大块税金，你开始肉疼。
当你省吃俭用想买套房，却发现高福利背后是印钞机带来的高通胀，房价被推到了天际。
当你试着开个小店，发现层出不穷的政府监管和劳动法限制，压得你连气都喘不过来。
这时候，你终于醒了。

你发现那些天天把"大爱"挂在嘴边的政客，其实是在用你辛苦工作的血汗税金，去供养一套低效的官僚系统和不愿意工作的人。
一个人从左派变成保守派，根本不需要去读什么高深的政治经济学。
去税务局报一次税，或者去银行申请一次贷款，生活自然会给你上一课。
