@JoeMullinax Firm believer that most role players don’t find their footing until years 3 to 5. So I wouldn’t give up on him But his ass would spend the majority of the year in the G league. He was far away from being a contributor
@TurkishBengal@JWeinbachNBA Grizz are moving off Morant mainly bc he doesn’t play basketball. They’re not giving up a first for Herb when the last 2 years he hasn’t played basketball and forgot how to shoot. Herb is an awesome defender but if he can’t shoot, how is he any different than cheaper options
@Tjonesonthenba 38.4/30.7/90.1 shooting splits on the season. Even worse in Memphis as it was 36.6/30.7/86.4 with zero defensive impact. He’s out of the league by the end of his rookie deal if he can’t figure out how to shoot.
@Tjonesonthenba As a Grizzlies fan, I’d lose my shit if they traded Pippen for a couple of seconds, especially for Clayton to be on the team. Pippen is a plus defender, a good 3 point shooter, and top notch backup. Clayton didn’t show enough to warrant a two way last year.
@ChrisHerrington Can you take a player into the trade exception as part of a sign and trade? Such as agreeing to terms with a player that would exceed all other mechanisms the Grizzlies have available but fit within the trade exception
@NathanChester24 If the team thinks he can go up to a 25 ppg guy as the number 1 option and keep the elite defense, he is easily worth the 3rd pick. Does he make sense for the Grizzlies? If they think his presence alone makes them a playoff team, then they should pull the trigger.
@bomani_jones The thing is you don’t retaliate against Hartenstein or Chet. You take out SGA. They come for your best and the refs let it slide, you come for their best. Only way to put an end to it.
@ChrisHerrington With the aim to add bigger, more athletic players, I’d call Orlando about Anthony Black. They can’t pay everyone. Who would be some reasonable players to target in trades to accomplish this goal?
@rozenwill True. But that’s not the issue. Ole Miss wants to make it out like Lane just abandoned them. They told him he couldn’t coach- with good reason. But it was their call and they need to own it.
