@gregisenberg Agree. One note: Friends don't let friends buy from Alibaba. Hacking things together for the first 100 is ok, but if you want to scale into a real company, you need help from people who have fought the battles of building things at volume.

Shenzhen is incredible for HW. But I see too many founders romanticize moving there before PMF. Relocation can become a proxy for progress while the bottleneck is customers, distribution, or the rest of the business. Sometimes the best move is to stay home and keep building.

@kristianfreeman I feel you. I grew up in Texas but still hate the summers. It’s amazing what a weekend or longer in the mountains will do break up the monotony of heat. It doesn’t make it easier but makes it manageable. Base in Austin, travel during the summer.
