@ProfessorPowder "UDOT is not responsible for increasing use at the trailheads or at dispersed recreation sites, but for improving mobility on SR-210. In the future, if USFS identifies a need to increase transit service at the trailheads, it can work with UTA to implement it."
reform UDOT ASAP.
@ProfessorPowder@WasatchSnow Yeah I'm aware that it's a bit out of scope. I'm trying to understand microclimates around stations in the bay area out of personal interest, so rough trends at is all I'm looking for. Thanks!
@ProfessorPowder@WasatchSnow Can one download aggregated climate data from mesowest stations? I'm interested in understanding the climate trends at specific stations (daily avg high/low temps/winds, avg weekly precip, avg solar irradiance if present, etc).

Q: Hey Ben, what’s the worst way to build a gondola up the canyon?
A: The worst way? I suppose the worst way would be to build a giant parking garage at the mouth of the canyon and run it from there. to add insult, you’d offer limited stops and seasonal service only.
@Photo_John@RideUTA@AltaSkiArea I took the bus frequently last year, but with the reduced schedule and the certainty of being stuck in the snake even longer, I can't do it yet. I just wait it out in one of the lodges.
If there’s ever a post-apocalyptic world, I think it’ll look like the outskirts of Shanghai’s Pudong district. On my ride, I see fishers, goats, highrises, and empty playgrounds.
@CA_EDD it is simply insane that you have a phone queue that can become "full" and tell callers to just keep calling back. It takes 5 minutes of menus to get to the queue, only for you to effectively hang up on me. How the hell do I get a hold of someone?
Looks like there may be a need for snow shovels in UT today. This shows the snow over @provocity, @SLCgov, and the area beyond into WY captured live from the @Space_Station at 2:22pm this afternoon.

The first climate model that estimated how the world might warm in the future was published in 1970.
That model, as well as ones published in the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, have done a remarkably good job predicting what actually occurred in the years after they were published
@beaucronin There are some partial examples of it that I've seen, mostly based around pollution monitoring. https://t.co/9qv1Sc6uf1 is the earliest one I recall, there are others out there. Feels like an extension of OSM would be appropriate, really.
