We have a dress code for weight room, workouts, etc. here at Cortland.

Monday, I broke that dress code — both purposely and cause I was rushing from a meeting.

At end of workouts I asked, “What’s wrong with how I’m dressed”. A few guys pointed out that I was out of uniform.

I simply asked, “Why hasn’t anyone said anything to me or called me out?”.

The response I got was, “You’re the head coach”.

From there I encouraged our guys to not only hold their teammates accountable but the coaching staff accountable.

When everyone is holding each other accountable from top to bottom — the mission we are trying to achieve becomes a little easier.

The captain is still part of the crew at the end of the day.
