@ElmoreFarms @AutismTalkAspie They told my mother that I would never have a normal quality of life before they convinced her to put me in an institution before I turned age 8. Now as an adult I waste more time trying to convince them of my autism. 🤷🏾♀️
@AutismTalkAspie That he could not and would not accept my diagnosis of autism unless he performed his own tests. I was medically diagnosed as a child and medically confirmed by the SSA as an adult but those diagnosees are not sufficient for him🤷🏾♀️
@AnnMemmott Autistic people can be very direct and clear in their communication, we state the facts of what has happened this can appear rude to some people but that was not the intention. We just want to be heard. We don’t pussyfoot social dynamics or the etiquette of communication.
This! Why are we older autistic people not being studied more? Ive lived this way for almost 50 years and my experiences from childhood to now could help further our research.
