Doom and Age of Empires creator Sandy Petersen blasts Amazon over their handling of Stargate:
"1) get handed a massively popular IP that spans 17 years of successful shows."
"2) realize it has millions of loyal fans, desperate for more. They are now in their 40s and 50s, flush with money. Eager to teach their kids & grandkids about Stargate."
"3) you could start with this. You are already three steps up the ladder to huge success. The fans will evangelize it, if you don't wreck the IP. Don't believe it? Look how the fans evangelized Battlestar Galactica after its 30 year hiatus. And the initial Dr Who reboot after 15 years."
"4) cancel the project because you want a "new take" that will eliminate all the loyal fans and turn them into bitter enemies."
"It's like an ancient Greek play about hubris."
Why are corporate execs like this?
Hey Stargate Fans please let @amazon and @AmazonMGMStudio know how you feel about them cancelling #Stargate
They MOCK us. They think they don't need us. Let them know what you think of that.
I won't be watching ANY other Stargate that is created without the OG creators /Gero being involved.
I'm DONE with studios SHITTING ON THE FANS AND KILLING IPS WE LOVE.

@thetripathi58 I took a Quality Systems in Manufacturing class in college and it heavily featured Deming. It completely changed the way I navigated the world. I even got my computer programmer spouse to read it years later and understanding Deming shapes how we talk about so many things.
@JoshDance@boringcompany I wonder if getting traffic though faster would help with the pollution and inversion in the winter? The air quality there is so bad in the winter.
@Stocktwits They also can set up accounts in your name and start charging you without your authorization. Then you have to navigate a really unfriendly user experience phone system, explain that you are not your neighbor and aren’t actually using their services. Ask me how I know.
@SpeakWithDeeDee Reaching. Schools in Utah tend to be heavily recruited because many students have language skills from serving missions. Even then, agencies recruiting at career fairs only wanted to talk to non-romance language speakers and prioritized ChemE and EE engineering. Not freshman.
