1/9 Paul Mashatile lives in multimillion rand mansions in Waterfall and Constantia. How did he and his networks afford this? How do his networks support his lifestyle, and what do they expect in return? #TheDarkPrince
@AlexPPatrick - I'm one of the Councillors that were removed & I think a few things needs to be shared in the public domain for a better context.
I don't have an issue with being removed,my old party & any other has the right to exercise it's prerogative where it sees fit, I moved on from ActionSA the moment I got my removal & left Council this morning, no grudges no qualms, it is what it is..
What needs addressing is the disengenous soiling of the Councillors personas, painting us as lazy Councillors, personally I could care less what's your opinion of my performance, anyone reading this just needs to go through my Twitter account over the last 4 years to see my record of service delivery in my community & anywhere I see service related faults. SA's Twitter users can judge for themselves.
What South Africa should take issue with is with is this 'performance' lie being peddled, I'll give South Africa context & let the electorate decide if below Councillors were treated fairly.
How do we justify a performance criteria when:
- 1 of the removed Cllr's is in a wheel chair, in & out of hospital fighting to live with diginity but he was removed for 'poor performance'
- another Cllr was on maternity leave & before she could return to adjust & catch up her baby passed on, at which stage of this 'assessment' window was she supposed to catch up? But she was removed for 'poor performance' do you have any children Michael, have you lost a child?
- another Cllr experienced a trying time in her life i.e. a divorce & a nervous breakdown & being admitted to psychiatric hospital for I think two months, but she was removed for 'poor performance'..
I don't know, but maybe SA can tell us if that sounds right, do we kick each other when we're down 😡🤔
Then, the criteria of assessments & performance has been a contentious one in the Jhb Caucus which lead to a Motion of No Confidence (MONC) in the Caucus leader (Nobhule Mtembu)
& the management team for prejudiced & manipulated assessments submitted to Senate, nothing was done, the Caucus basically sent a SOS to say the assessments are not a true reflection, yet no one in Senate had the balls to say, this assessment story is a bit questionable, let's simply exercise our right & state we removed Councillors as we see fit..
Must be a coincidence that those that have been removed all signed the MONC which includes the author of the MONC & one of the co-ordinators of the Cllr's who agreed to sign..
Grow a back bone Michael & whoever wants to defend ActionSA, stand by your decision to exercise your right, there's no need to lie to SA trying to justify your decision..

ActionSA’s Vision for Crime-Free Townships.
1/ Today in Naledi & Emdeni, we declared: Enough is Enough.
ActionSA has a vision of crime-free townships where law-abiding citizens live without fear — and criminals live in fear of the law.
2/ SAPS has collapsed. Parents fear for their children. Drugs & gangs are destroying our youth. Communities are abandoned.
3/ ActionSA will restore the rule of law:
- Professional police, not cadres
- Criminals face real consequences
- Communities protected, not ignored
4/ Policing Reform:
- Fully resourced stations in Soweto
- Specialised anti-drug & anti-gang units
- Community policing to rebuild trust
5/ Community Safety goes beyond SAPS.
- Jobs for youth
- Safe schools & public spaces
- Partnerships with groups like the Xolani Khumalo Foundation
6/ Justice Reform:
- Harsher sentences for murderers, rapists & drug dealers
- No parole for repeat violent offenders
- Courts resourced to deliver justice
7/ Township Renewal links safety to dignity:
- Infrastructure vandalism = Economic Treason
- Take back hijacked buildings & drug dens
- Safer, cleaner urban zones
8/ On 10 Sept, Ward 130 can lead the way.
Vote Siyabonga Zwane & ActionSA.
Together we say: “ActionSA with Our Communities: Act As One Against Crime and Drugs.”
We are ready to takeover ward130 and bring services to the community @Action4SA puts the community First. @HermanMashaba joined the debate of candidates and door to door today for @COJactionsaREC last push campaign
I advise all the voters, take the cash and run. When you are in IEC booth, don’t sell the future of your children with proceeds of crime. Your future can’t be worth R2k. They are insulting you and your family. Let’s teach them a lesson.
@Action4SA will not be silenced. We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the residents of Johannesburg in defence of ethical governance and transparent leadership.
Watch: @Action4SA Joburg Caucus CMT is currently at Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort to oversee the JMPD intake. A substantial number of youth have applied, affirming the interest of South Africans in restoring the rule of law.
Our goal at the investment summit is to attract R5 billion worth of pledges and investment opportunities from the private sector. Bidders who want to make use of our strategic assets will be given a chance to partner with the city.
