@OfficialBMRCL Frequency on the core section of the Purple line is insanely good this morning! Seems to be like 2 mins or something. How did you guys manage?
@WF_Watcher@NammaBengaluroo@ChristinMP_@0RRCA@srivasrbmrccoi1 This is a pedestrian crossing traffic light that was installed after BMRCL removed the skywalk here a couple of months ago. The "siren" is a standard feature of Bangalore pedestrian crossing sequences to alert people who are hearing-impaired that it is safe to cross.
@tidas_14@KridePrm@KfW_FZ_int@EIB@OfficialBMRCL Only one line runs parallel to the metro, and this is very necessary.
As the only east-west line, the purple line is going to be very busy. A parallel suburban line would provide much needed express service and additional capacity.
@varungrao This is why having a suburban rail route parallel to the purple line is a good thing. And also why we need suburban rail lines going to the suburbs.
@BMTC_BENGALURU Service on the 342 series is so inconsistent 😔
Lots of bunching as well. Please look into this, I feel like many routes never recovered after covid.
@bengalurutrains Why is everyone talking as if metro competes with buses for passengers? Isn't the aim to get more people on public transport, regardless of mode?
Just shows that we look at the metro as a glitzy infra project rather than one of multiple solutions to moving people efficiently.
