On the matter of Tax Audit Due Date Extension, the Hon’ble Court has directed an interim order that:

- Considering technical glitches and pendency

- Respondents are required to issue a notification extending the due date for filing of tax audit report
- The facility to file audit reports must be made fully operational.
- Due date to be extended for 30 days- 31st October

@IncomeTaxIndia Paid ₹83,000 Income Tax challan on 14.09.2025 via UPI. Amount debited from bank (RRN: 525702120418) but portal shows “Payment Failed” & no challan generated. Bank confirms credit to beneficiary a/c on 14.09.2025. Kindly verify & resolve at the earliest.

Pen-down strike against TAR is not a solution. Clients engage us for timely Tax Audits, subject to data availability. Once data is provided, it is our responsibility to deliver on time.

Extension of TAR is need of the hour to maintain quality of work. Tax Audit ensures proper compliance & checks tax evasion, but such efforts need time. Earlier, 2 months were available after ITR due date, but this year only 15 days have been given.
