There are 2 types of startup teams.
One which sucks founders time for current issues (which may be due to decisions of past).
Another which frees up founders time from current issues and let them move freely into building the future without worrying about the present.
When you’re a young team member of any startup ask your peers and seniors every month what are you doing well & what are things you could do better. Don’t wait for slow & lame annual appraisals.
If you want to compound, your iteration cycles need to be faster than app releases.
Commonly made hiring mistakes:
1. Trying to hire someone like yourself
2. Hiring someone who is less smart than yourself
3. Hiring for a position and not for the team

I was reading an article that stated,
"A research found that organizations with effective cultures increased net profit by 85% and showed a 138% improvement in sales over a five-year period."
Well, the numbers prove the importance of maintaining a good work culture.

Ask yourself these questions before hiring a candidate:
1. Will the person be able to do the job?
2. Will the person fit our culture?
3. Will we fit the person's life?
