I’m honored to have worked with the incredible @JonathanHoefler to create a new (!) trek-inspired typeface for the show art of the new podcast from the interstellar gentlemen @GreatestTrek. Such a great name deserves to be warp, full speed ahead—let’s see what’s out there!
I may not pod, but I do love to design podcast art—particularly for a pod that so boldly goes where no pod has gone before! Happy with how this fun collab turned out with the shameless @BenjaminAhr and @CutForTime for #GreatestGen!!
My favorite design read in a long, long time: Why so much “science” used in design is bullshit: Android, Losada and Frankfurt. Thank you @mjparnell https://t.co/hMUddG9GYU
Designers don't need to know how to code. But understanding how to *navigate* code, make tiny tweaks, branch, commit, and make a pull request to someone in engineering? Designers can fix a lot of low-priority "polish" bugs that otherwise might never see the light of day.
The ability to break down a complex project into manageable chunks is a hugely underrated professional skill. Strange that so few people hire & evaluate for it.
After empathy, there are few things as important to great product design and leadership as welcoming and pursuing the possibility that you may (and will) be wrong. Build teams that nurture and value debate and honesty! Speak up! Embrace it! https://t.co/EEVgWFXj6U
🎊📆 XOXO will return to Revolution Hall September 5—8, 2019! We’ll announce our starting lineup and open registration early April. See you then! https://t.co/JRKlpjZP87
We're building a new independent platform to help artists share their work, build community, and make a sustainable living from their creative practice—and we're hiring! If you're an experienced engineer or project manager, get in touch! https://t.co/9ZetL260qd
So happy @daveaddey’s book has arrived after such anticipation! The preface nails something I’d taken for granted as a kid who watched sci-fi w dad and learned design from mom: “a love of great sci-fi movies... goes hand in hand w a love of great design across all disciplines.”
@mil I am way more disturbed by the fake discounts than the poor awareness around customer conversion? One is nefarious and shortsighted actively anti-customer behavior and the other is a very hard problem to be solved.
Seriously @Marriott? For real? Your response to the breach is a monitoring service which asks for SSN & other sensitive data, but only permits up to 15 characters for a password? There’s a good indicator of #ITSEC capability and that’s the password policy. Unbelievable!
