@abeljordan I think this is an interesting point of discussion Abel! I believe that motivational factors are impacted based on things like end goals and prizes that can be achieved - if the person is enticed by the reward enough I believe motivation factors can be enhanced!
@amethystcostelo@moncelestre1 Super keen to read your blog post comparing Done and Habitica and highlighting where they succeeded/failed. I also found Habitica hard to engage with and I’m curious if you had the same experience because of the same factors. Interested to find out!
@jamesnguyen112 What a great post Thinh! I think your awareness of the creative commons when referencing images is fantastic. In future posts when quoting individuals/text, remember to include them in your reference list to further strengthen your argument. Fabulous job!
@YuZhang999 I definitely agree with your findings Yu! Do these apps send notifications perhaps to engage you further and try to get you to log back into the app? I've found apps like Blogilates, Lose It and a few brain training apps keep me engaged by sending through push notifications!
Lose It is a gamified motivational health app that helps users gain/lose/maintain weight by logging exercise, weighins & food intake. It runs on a point based system where food consumption & exercise impacts daily calorie allowance. Achievements are rewarded with badges #ALM201
@ScottJa08824425 good pick up! it's interesting how the more progress you make in your degree, the more credit points you achieve, and the closer you become to being rewarded with your degree/graduation; almost like XP and levelling up! #ALM201
@__imrae Thank you so much rae!! I think it can be argued that the construction of our online identities is almost something that is dependent upon environmental surroundings (such as sites we choose to access/people we engage with etc.,)
