Corruption is like a cancer for this country. It has been embedded in the DNA of a drought-coded, resource starved nation.
It grows & consumes a ruling govt, then a new govt comes in, fresh, vowing to root out previous corruption, people get hopeful, time passes, corruption creeps up again, but this time it feeds on the ego of the incumbent.
To accept it has come back, will belie the promises the new govt made, of ending all prev corruption. And hence it consumes again
It’s like a virus, a parasite that needs a host, like a mosquito or a bat. The hosts are usually caste, religion, language politics. Corruption grows covertly as its host gets stronger. And one day it kills it. Until a new host emerges.
The cycle continues.
A Hyderabad startup just built India's own mini jet engine for target drones
Paninian India has unveiled the Yantur TJ1.6, a compact indigenous turbojet, to power the Svayatt-TD1 decoy drone.
The Svayatt-TD1 mimics the radar and heat signature of enemy aircraft and missiles, so Indian air defence crews can train against realistic threats.
In an actual war, the same drone could confuse enemy radars and burn through their missile stocks.
This is a private company, not DRDO, building its own engine family from scratch. That is the kind of shift India's defence sector needed. 🚩

@Nikhil_2188 Connecting Ahmedabad (77L ppl/68B $), Vadodara(22L ppl/20B $), Surat(70L ppl/60B $), Mumbai(2cr ppl/310B $) is the most prudent route for a first bullet train. Connects ports, financial & manufacturing hubs. I wish they had added Pune (69L ppl/69B $) also to the first phase.
@maheshklandge Even Ravet to Katraj should be made double decker with provision for metro. This route will already cross many existing/planned stations such as Wakad, Balewadi, Chandani chowk, Katraj etc...
An ISRO scientist can’t afford a 200 sq yards plot in a tier 2 city of India but a Patwari is owning multiple.
Then you cry begging jobs , visas, tech and latest guns from the west.
Because you deserve it.
@ramprasad_c Farmers do have a lot of problems, most of which are systemic & others of their own making. Farmers, instead of solving problems themselves, depended too much on politicians whose benefits depend on these very problems not being solved permanently. The atrophy has set in badly.
@ramprasad_c Add to that - Barriers to entry for corporations to do farming, no foreign competition, no liability for land/air/ water pollution, no liability for causing cancer pandemic through rampant use of pesticides.

Feedback of several GCC CEO’s on what it would take to make them invest further in Pune for their expansion::
1. Waste Management & Sanitation: Strengthen Pune’s waste management and sanitation systems. Poor civic hygiene contributes to higher incidences of viral illnesses during the monsoon and winter seasons, resulting in increased employee absenteeism, lower productivity, and project delays.
2. Aviation Connectivity: Extend Pune Airport’s runway to accommodate wide-body aircraft and enable direct international connectivity. Navi Mumbai Airport is not a practical long-term alternative due to last-mile connectivity challenges and travel times comparable to Mumbai Airport. Additionally, an update on the proposed Purandar International Airport and its implementation timeline would be greatly appreciated.
3. Accelerated Infrastructure Delivery: Fast-track the execution of critical infrastructure projects, including Metro expansions, the Outer and Inner Ring Roads, the Riverside Road, and upgrades to the existing road network. Time-bound execution is essential to support economic growth, improve quality of life, and maintain Pune’s competitiveness.
4. Traffic & Last-Mile Mobility: Reduce congestion by expanding public transport, constructing underpasses and flyovers, widening key roads, creating alternate traffic corridors, expediting roadworks, and leveraging AI- and GPS-based traffic management systems to improve mobility, safety, and productivity.
5. Leadership, Accountability & City Branding: Pune would benefit from strong, dedicated leadership with clear ownership of the city’s development agenda. Publish monthly dashboards tracking the progress of major infrastructure projects, engage regularly with industry leaders, and establish mechanisms for periodic review and accountability. At the same time, strengthen the promotion of Pune as a premier destination for investment, innovation, education, and global talent.
6. 24×7 Single-Window Business Support: Create a single, accountable platform for business approvals as well as day-to-day operational issues, reducing the need to interact with multiple government departments. Successful models have already been implemented in Singapore, China, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
7. Inclusive Industry Policies: Extend policy incentives across entire industry clusters, (Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur - city agnostic) irrespective of company size, or employment numbers. High-value sectors such as GCCs, R&D, engineering, product development, advanced manufacturing, and innovation should receive equitable policy support alongside large employment-generating enterprises. (as they might have smaller size)

Your @elixirphoenix LiveView app disconnects from the server. The UI freezes, nothing updates until the socket comes back.
Local LiveView doesn't freeze, and when the connection returns, it doesn't throw away your state either.
We built a small burrito ordering app with a "disconnect" button baked in – see how both versions handle the same disconnect live 🌯
@_svs_ Fell in love with @elixirlang & @elixirphoenix a few years ago. Got introduced to @AshFramework last year. Such a potent & amazing stack.. no wonder many orgs use it as their secret sauce. And yes.. @josevalim is a legend. Take a bow Jose!
@IndianTintin_ Dole out thousands of crores of freebies & noone will bat an eye.. give large research funding or offer lateral govt job entry to such talent and all hell will break loose.
I don’t use loops, skills, fancy orchestration, plugins or anything like that. I raw dog the agent with its default harness, I read the code, and I’m shipping more than ever to production for real projects used by real people. Sometimes if it’s a low risk part of the application I might skip reading the code but only sometimes. I think most are either lying about the amount of value they are creating or just having fun while understanding they aren’t creating value but failing to distinguish that to their audience.
