Again I am reiterating! The numbers are

DMK-59
ADMK- 47
PMK-4
IUML-2
VCK-2
CPI-2
CPM-2
DMDK-1
AMMK-1
BJP-1

This entire thing summed up is 121. BJP can never become part of this post poll alliance so we come down to 120.

The whole idea hinges on PMK, VCK, CPI & CPM staying in the same alliance! Which is the most unlikely scenario!

With PMK inside and VCK/CPI/CPM outside the number drops to 114. In the vice versa scenario the number drops to 116.

VCK has a principle stand which it has been following for around 12 years to not join an alliance where PMK/BJP is there.

People claiming ADMK and DMK are arch rivals coming together, both are products of the Dravidian Movement. In fact DMK is the mother party for ADMK.

But the case of VCK AND PMK is different. They both are founded for different reasons! PMK had some level of social justice elements in it up until 2011. Post which they fallen badly into a fully caste based party and especially tried to do consolidation against the Dailts.

This is completely against the VCK politics who are trying to bring Dalits into the general scheme of things! The foundational values of VCK are being attacked here. So they won't come together today even if both the Dravidian parties (I don't consider current admk a Dravidian party, still for name sake!) come together.

So this is a failed thing even before it started!...
