Today, after hearing our submissions, the Hon’ble Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court pronounced its verdict regarding the lighting of the Karthigai Deepam at the top of Thirupurakundram Hill at Dheepathoon. The Hon’ble Court directed that the lamp must be lit at the top of Thirupurakundram Hill as well. Further, the Court instructed the police department to provide protection during the lighting of the lamp.

Today, I had the honour of appearing before the Hon’ble Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court along with our State Legal Cell Vice President Shri @niranjsk22, and our newly strengthened legal team in the writ petition filed on behalf of Arasu Pandi, Hindu Munnani Zonal Incharge.

The petition seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the Executive Officer of the Tiruparankundram Temple and the HR & CE Department to ensure that the Karthigai Deepam is lit at the top of the Tiruparankundram Hill, upholding tradition and faith.

Along with me, Adv. Diwakar and Adv. Venkatesan, State Secretaries of the BJP Legal Cell, were also present, strengthening our representation.

After hearing the detailed submissions made by our team; including myself, Shri Niranjan S. Kumar, and other senior advocates; the Hon’ble Justice GR Swaminathan has posted the matter for further hearing on Monday.

This marks an important step in safeguarding our religious practices. We remain steadfast in protecting the rights, heritage, and sentiments of Hindu devotees across Tamil Nadu @narendramodi @AmitShah @NainarBJP

A complaint has been filed at the police station on behalf of the Madurai District Attorney on the instructions of the State Head of the Legal Dept., as the video posted on Sundaravalli Sembulam's YouTube channel was about a protest that was damaging to the unity of the country.
