*Farmer unions call PM to stop Govt's gene editing push in Indian agriculture, saying it goes against natural farming*

Citing the Union govt's large allocation for genome-edited crop variety research, they claimed that it contradicts the PM's promotion of natural farming.
"Genome-edited crop varieties can harm soil health and undermine the natural advantages of traditionally grown varieties. We call on the Prime Minister to halt support for genome-edited crops if he truly backs natural farming," stated 'Cauvery' V Dhanabalan, a farmer representative. Around 16 farmers' associations from across the state, represented by their leaders, took part in the press conference in Trichy.

The Rs 500 crore allocation in Union Budget 2023-24 aims to advance genome-editing research in agricultural crops.

_Genome/gene editing is new age GM technology. Gene edited rice varieties scheduled to be released shortly by Govt in our farms and plates. This is even though lot of issues on gene edited rice have come to light in public domain recently._

Status on Arattai: we decided to go with option 2 which is mandatory system wide end to end encryption (starting with one on one messages and groups will follow later).

We had to do some redesign around it and we wanted extensive testing because it is a drastic change. It is now being tested by about 6,000 people in the company. We identified some issues and have fixed them. We are doing one more round of testing on a new build that has fixed the issues identified.

If all goes well, we plan to deploy in a few days. It will be a forced upgrade on all because it is a drastic change.

Meanwhile you can upgrade the app and while it already has the code for mandatory e2e encryption, it won't work until we enable it and we will do it after another round of testing. The app is also faster and sleeker now which you can experience.

Below is how the Arattai app design looks now. We offer a tab e2ee (for end to end encrypted) and any user can set that as the default for all personal chats. We will have end to end for group chats (up to some group size limit) later.

Now your feedback needed on:

(Option 1) Any user can make e2ee default for all their one to one chats or pick a particular chat to be in e2ee mode. The app will go to e2ee even if one of the parties has set e2ee as their only mode and the other user has not set e2ee as their only mode.

(Option 2) We are also thinking of Arattai system wide default of e2ee for all one-to-one chats. This means that e2ee mode is the only option available for one to one chats. Group chats in e2ee mode will arrive later.

Some people do like the option of cloud based chat for some of their chats (device storage limits don't matter) so we have been thinking of option 1 but we could easily adopt option 2 (option 2 is cheaper for us!).

जिला निर्वाचन पदाधिकारी- सह- जिलाधिकारी, पटना के नेतृत्व में सहभागितापूर्ण वातावरण में बिहार विधान सभा आम निर्वाचन सम्पन्न कराने के लिए संपूर्ण जिला में सघन मतदाता जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। सभी स्टेकहोल्डर्स द्वारा इसमें अहम भूमिका निभाई जा रही है। चैम्बर ऑफ़ कॉमर्स, सिनेमा घरों के ओनर्स एसोसिएशन, आईएमए, विद्यालयों के संघों, सोशल मीडिया इंफ्ल्यूएंसर्स, रेज़ीडेंट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन, केमिस्ट एसोसियेशन, शॉपकीपर्स एसोसिएशन, खिलाड़ियों के संगठनों आदि सभी की मतदाता जागरूकता अभियान में सक्रिय भागीदारी हो रही है। इसी कड़ी में सिनेमा घरों के संचालकों (प्रोपराइटर्स / प्रबंधकों) द्वारा सर्वसम्मति से निर्णय लिया गया है कि दिनांक 06.11.2025 को मतदान करने वाले सभी मतदाताओं को सिनेमा टिकट में 50% छूट दी जाएगी। यह छूट दिनांक 06.11.2025 एवं दिनांक 07.11.2025 को हरेक सिनेमा हॉल के सभी शो में दिया जाएगा। कोई भी मतदाता दिनांक 06.11.2025 को मतदान कर किसी भी सिनेमा हॉल में अपनी ऊँगली पर लगी स्याही दिखाएँगे तो उन्हें सिनेमा टिकटों पर 50% की छूट दी जायेगी।
मतदाताओं की सहायता हेतु #Voter #Helpline 1950 कार्यरत है जिसपर निर्वाचकों को हर तरह की सहायता उपलब्ध करायी जा रही है।

1. HPV is sexually transmitted. It does not transmit via regular contact or even hugging.

2. We are giving it to very young girls in India.

This is NOT a political issue. Please do NOT make this potlicial. Most states in India are doing it and our political leaders across the spectrum have been told that ever more vaccine shots are in the best interest of Indians. I do not blame the politicians because when someone like me can be shouted down so vocally, it would be political suicide for a politician (of any party) to talk about, particularly when the mainstream consensus is so strongly in favor of ever more vaccine shots.

It does not help our business or my "image" to talk about this. Even my friends advise me not to talk about it because they are worried for my safety or my image. I have no hidden agenda here.

I will state what I believe again: we are giving way too many vaccines to young children. This does NOT mean we should stop ALL vaccines. So let the critics not twist my words.

Do not let the doctors who think I am science-illiterate shout this down.
