@Shari_Phiel @thecolumbian If I ask an electrician if they’ve been vaccinated, that is not a violation of their HIPAA rights. I can ask their employer and they could tell me as well. If I called their provider and asked if they were vaccinated and they told me, that is a violation of their HIPAA rights.

@Shari_Phiel @thecolumbian You are right that HIPAA does not prevent anyone from asking a question about your information. Nor does it protect you from having to share it. Further, if you share your health information with someone (friend, boss, etc.), they are not bound by HIPAA.
