My Gen Z boyfriend said the difference between millennials & Gen Z is:
Millennials had a counterculture that rejected the norms of Boomers & Gen Zx. We don't have to settle down young & have a family! We can live how we choose!
Gen Z sees that rejection as fundamentally cope. They often *want* to settle down young & have a family & are angry the economy doesn't allow them to. They think millennials were kidding ourselves when we claimed we didn't want that stuff & think some of us regret our own rebellion. They watch older millennial co-workers without families & don't envy them.
Obviously a generalization, but an interesting take 🤔
VIRGO RISING
(10H Gemini: Ruled by Mercury)
Gemini rules your 10H, so one of your biggest professional assets is your ability to learn information QUICKLY & then communicate it to other people. Your brain is your strongest asset. This is the reason you excel in writing, teaching, marketing, journalism, sales, social media, podcasting, public relations, publishing + content creation. And please stop stressing if you have multiple interests, it just shows that you might have more than ONE career throughout your life! For ex: you could have a job + business, two businesses, multiple income streams, heck you might completely switch industries at some point. You need variety, so forcing yourself to pick ONE thing forever can make you feel trapped. Mercury rules both YOU + your 10H, which makes your knowledge important professionally. The more YOU learn, the more valuable you become. I recommend you take courses, learn new softwares, study multiple languages, get certifications & learn how to write. And NETWORK as much as you can!! Your career will grow through conversations, introductions + exchanging information. Sometimes one random conversation can open a door for you.
Best professions: writer, journalist, teacher, professor, content creator, social media manager, copywriter, marketer, salesperson, publicist, podcaster, broadcaster, editor, translator, publisher, consultant, researcher, communications specialist.
this is basically true. “traditionally masculine but politically levelheaded if not progressive and intellectually present” signals a well-rounded upper middle-to-upper-class upbringing the same way being 6’2” and athletic does
SATURN IN THE 8TH HOUSE
trust • intimacy • shared resources • debt
Trust is a touchy subject for you. You had to learn the hard way that it can’t be given away for free. For example, you lend a friend something valuable (that they never give back), or you financially depend on the wrong person. In other cases, you end up responsible for a debt you wish you never agreed to. So later in life, you become much more careful about WHO you merge your life + resources with. Saturn in the 8H also changes your relationship with vulnerability. You initially think being safe means never needing anybody, because they can't disappoint you if you never depend on them in the first place. Then you realize there’s a difference between depending on the WRONG person, and allowing somebody trustworthy to support you. After going through so many difficult situations, you get to a point where periods of crisis don’t terrify you anymore. Yup, things can fall apart, but you still have yourself. Your life won’t be over, you can rebuild it & make it even BETTER.
Film is the superior art form, a conclusion I've come to over the years. It is the ultimate creative culmination, seamlessly combining almost every other medium. Writing, photography, poetry, music, acting, and design all merge to create a singular, immersive experience.
CAPRICORN
(Sun, Moon, Rising, Chart Ruler)
If you got heavy Capricorn placements, being the strong one became such a big part of your identity, to the point where you forgot that you need people too AND you're allowed to feel that way. In 2018, there was a version of you that could be going through absolute HELL & still tell everybody you were fine. Needing somebody felt worse than whatever you were dealing with. But you’re not that person anymore. That's because you just stopped measuring your strength by how much pain you can endure alone. Now eight years later, you're finally separating your worth from how much you can handle. This is gonna be your final test, you got this! You became MUCH more selective about what you’re willing to carry in the first place. Just because you CAN handle the responsibility doesn’t mean it automatically belongs to you.
