We've released Npcap version 1.82 with VLAN tagging, improved performance, and more! It will make the upcoming Nmap release even better: https://t.co/gjQdur40LS
The Nmap Project mourns the passing of our friend and legendary hacker Kevin Mitnick. He helped inspire my (Fyodor's) passion for network security, as well as Nmap features such as the TCP Initial Sequence Number predictability report. Later we worked together on the hacking novel "Stealing the Network: How to Own a Continent". Here's a fun pic from our 2004 HOPE Conference book signing. Rest in peace, @kevinmitnick.
This is my love-letter to @nmap, which most certainly changed the course of my life, and probably yours, too.
1997 was a pretty magical year for infosec, nmap being chief among the reasons.
As part of Nmap's 25th Anniversary celebration, I just finished a live webcast on network scanning with HD Moore and Pearce Barry from @runZeroInc: https://t.co/erZWcVNO3n

We're delighted to release Npcap Version 1.60 (plus a new SDK) after months of focused code hardening, simplification, and bug/compatibility fixes: https://t.co/10NaMq5IcT
The third edition of "Nmap: Network Exploration and Security Auditing Cookbook is out today. Most of the things I've learned about Nmap in past years are scattered throughout the book. RTs and Amazon reviews are super appreciated :) https://t.co/TRLiTSZLNK #nmap
Google Chrome has been blocking Nmap downloads all day because their broken "Safe Browsing" system suddenly labeled a 10-year-old version of our Ncat software as a threat. We will get this resolved with Google, but wanted to let you know that your Nmap downloads are still safe!
Last week Google Chrome wrongfully blocked a 24-year-old tarball of L0phtcrack source code from our historical archives as "malware". That one has been fixed, but it's still frustrating when Big Tech companies block content so carelessly.
