Respected authorities, we humbly appeal for urgent intervention on behalf of 70+ project staff who continued serving during the NMCG-approved extension period under the Hon’ble PM’s flagship Namami Gange mission, yet have not received salaries for multiple months.

While NMCG has released funds and extended full manpower & research support for projects like “Fish Conservation & Stock Enhancement in Ganga River Basin” at ICAR-CIFRI, disbursement remains stalled at the institute’s administrative level, causing severe hardship to dedicated workers.

We request a time-bound review to ensure all eligible staff receive their legitimate dues, upholding the mission’s values and morale of its workforce.

The work is completed, the duties are done,
Yet rightful remuneration still waits to come.
Remuneration is not a gift,
Not charity, favour, or administrative kindness.
It is payment for work already performed,
A legitimate right, already earned.
We seek no sympathy,

Dear Respected Authority,

It is with great respect and an abundance of patience that we would like to inform you that our “bread and butter” has now officially crossed its expiry date.

The bread, once fresh, has been over-burnt, while the butter has generously developed mould. Unfortunately, our patience seems to be following the same trajectory. Since our long-pending remuneration has remained unattended for such an extended period, we humbly request the concerned authority to kindly release our rightful remuneration before it too becomes completely unfit for consumption.
We are no longer asking for anything extraordinary. We are simply asking for what we have already earned and what is legitimately due to us. After waiting for so long, even receiving our rightful dues in their original form would now feel like a luxury.
We sincerely request the concerned administrative section of @ICAR_CIFRI to kindly spare some attention for the people whose “bread and butter” has been kept waiting long enough to become stale, burnt and mouldy.

Perhaps it is time to remember that remuneration is not a favour, charity, or administrative gift. It is payment for work already performed.

We remain hopeful that our dues will be released before our patience requires a preservation certificate.
