@James__Womack@iankar_ Agreed - Iโm almost certain that the estimated returns from the uninsured portion can be used as collateral for some type of loan/line of credit. Start-up founders need do hit the pavement and start talking to bankers.
The notion of "governance rights" as a narrative for why a token should be valuable is pathological. You're literally saying "I'm buying $X because later on someone might buy it from me and a bunch of other people to twist the protocol toward their special interests"
I donโt understand people who have made money but still live in suboptimal places to save on taxes
Sure NYC has a city tax, but isnt the point of having money to not have to live in New Jersey ??
I canโt believe this has to be said but *please* do not take out a loan with personal liability to early exercise your startup shares. This is a great way to set up yourself up for disaster in the likely event the startups fails.
Ask your employer for a longer exercise window.
98-99% of NFT projects from this "2021 NFT Year" will end up being bad investments ... pls be thoughtful ...this is a gold rush and 99-2000 internet stock eras ...some big big winners but a lot of carnage, play with what u can afford to lose
0/ I'm often asked: how do you keep up with DeFi when it moves so fast?
My response: if you focus on learning a handful of core concepts, you'll be 80% there with 20% of the effort.

OK seriously, some random notes on attorney-client privilege for all my #cryptotwitter friends (inspired by @RosenfeldM):
1. The privilege belongs to the client. You, not me. You can waive it if you want (or if you mess up). I couldn't waive it even if I wanted. It's yours.
3. Don't tell your friends what your lawyers advised you to do. Don't forward your lawyers' emails outside your organization. Don't send your lawyers' memos about your token or project to other people who are "interested." Keep our communications' secrecy sacrosanct.
