@HotTakeHockey Can this be confirmed by any reliable source? Seems highly unlikely 2 me. Not bc they may not want Babs, but because it is their off season and they are off golfing or at cottages or something. Who supposedly had access 2 both of them and how likely were they to comment on this?
@islanders_takes In your OP you talked about losing leverage to owners. Given he has 5 yrs left on a contract I do not know what leverage you expect him to have? Do you know the phrase Beggers cant be choosers?
@JW_eats_plastic@fredette Zero chance he is getting multiple firsts since he leaked he is handcuffing to Detroit with a 3 team list. Minnesota won't pay and SY is not going to accept a crap offer. He expands the list, or stays in Detroit
@steveyweevey@7chyle11@kylegrimard Did Detroit randomly try to trade DL somewhere? Or did DL approach SY say i no longer wish to honor my contract and ask to be moved? He no longer wants that contract, fine, but he does not get to try to enforce part of the contract while ask not to honor another part.
@steveyweevey@7chyle11@kylegrimard And Larkin took a long term contract to get guaranteed money. And he should know the consequences of that. You appear to be 100% clueless about this fact.
@steveyweevey@7chyle11@kylegrimard They can trade all they want, when it is mutually agreed. Not when the player has a gun to the teams head. DL could have signed a shorter contract and moved as a free agent, but he wanted gaurenteed $ so he can honor contract or make a reasonable trade request.
@Tate34257353@deplorable_guy2@kylegrimard You can always ask for whatever you want, but they signed a contract that has items that benefit both the team &the player. You want the player to be able to get out of part of the contract and still enforce the part that benefits him. Not sure what you dont understand?
@7chyle11@cowgirl_bebop@kylegrimard Ok, then it is well within Detroits rights to tell him to waive the NTC or keep his mouth shut and honor the contract he signed to play in Detroit.
@Tate34257353@kylegrimard Not really, the player is basically demanding to void the contract when they demand to leave. Otherwise, stay and honor that contract the way they expect the team to honor it .
@7chyle11@kylegrimard The player signs contract to get guaranteed $ for X years. Why do they get to sign it and then demand leave when they want? How about player honors contract they signed?
@TFaehner2@TDChrisG Wow, you people are losing your minds. I guess next players can only cross to the others conference. They also know the tram systems etc. Then GMs? High profile water boys??
@nosoup4knowles This! I am a little younger then the boomers, but 1thing I see a lot is that kids want now, what their parents have. I have a 4 bedroom home & a pool in the yard. I started renting a cockroach infested basement with a friend. Most parents did not start where they are now.
@Flyerman313@Raiderfrank65 I honestly have never understood the hate Ray gets. Calls it as he sees it, down the middle and as knowledgeable as they come.
@averyfry17@Raiderfrank65 Toronto has been a 5th to 7th overall placed team, playing 3rd, 4rth and 5th place teams. Vegas was a 13th place team team playing the 15th and 18th placed teams. You are seriously trying to compare those scenarios?
