It is with a deep love of our community that I am excited to announce that I will be running again to represent Medford & Malden! To volunteer, donate, join our movement, and read the full press release, visit https://t.co/oDrymMWIMB.
“I’m anti Zionist because I’m the daughter of Holocaust survivors.
The Shoah is baked into my DNA, that’s why I call for the Palestinian liberation”
I rest my case… 😭
Netanyahu has not allowed any food, water, or fuel into Gaza in two weeks.
Now he has resumed bombing, killing hundreds of people and breaking the ceasefire that had given Gaza a chance to live again.
NO MORE MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL.
You think Trump is corrupt? Have you met the MA House?!? Every MA resident should be watching and outraged. As we struggle to feed our families, they can’t even be clear on how they’re using our tax dollars.
“When they deny our office documents or access to information…they are denying you the taxpayers information about what is going on.”
Thank you @InsideLowell for having me on to chat about our effort to bring the sunshine to Beacon Hill. What are they so afraid of? #mapoli
The Israeli apartheid regime is continuing to kill Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank. Palestinians have been so dehumanized that it hasn’t even made headlines. The ethnic cleansing has not ended. They will never stop until there’s an arms embargo.
After over 6 yrs on the Malden Disability Commission and serving as it’s first chair, I attended my last meeting tonight. This was a very difficult decision as my heart and soul is in this work. Below is the statement I read during the end of our meeting. On the plus side, I now have more capacity for other advocacy work!
————————————
After much thought and deep reflection, I have made the difficult decision to resign from the Malden Disability Commission. This choice was not made lightly. I have always prided myself on my professionalism, my ability to separate personal matters from professional responsibilities, and my commitment to working alongside people from all backgrounds and perspectives—especially when it comes to the vital mission of serving and uplifting our disabled neighbors.
However, there are moments when a line is crossed—when basic decency is abandoned, and trust is irreparably broken. I have weighed the pros and cons, searching for a reason to stay, but the truth is clear: I cannot, in good conscience, continue working with individuals who have signed their names in support of those who dehumanize the people I call family and engage in actions I will not dignify with even a mention. I have always strived to be understanding and to see the good in people. I have never been one to take offense easily, but this is not a mere disagreement or difference of opinion among neighbors—this is abuse, and I will not subject myself to it. Nor will I enable those who choose to perpetuate such acts without remorse.
There is no place for such hatred in my life. I will not compromise my morals or my principles. And let me be clear: my resignation does not mark the end of my advocacy or my support for the Commissioners who choose to continue our relationship. In fact, I am certain that outside of this commission, I will be able to do even more for the disabled community—without the burden of working alongside those who condone or enable this kind of behavior.
To my fellow commissioners who have upheld integrity, decency, and the true spirit of service, I regret that you have been exposed to this toxicity as well. I sincerely appreciate the countless hours you have dedicated to this work, and I hope we will continue to collaborate in other ways. I wish you all success moving forward. Know that I am here if you ever need anything.
I have been reminded in the most painful way that life is too short to allow negativity and hatred to take root. I refuse to carry this burden any longer. Instead, I choose to walk away, to cut out the toxicity, and to continue my community advocacy on my own terms—with dignity, purpose, and without compromise.
Thank you very much.
This American has Stage 4 cancer and there is no cure
She has insurance but she just received a letter from her health insurance that they are not covering her treatment
“One chemo session costs $15,000”
“My doctor confirmed that I got approval from my insurance company before I started the chemo. I've been on it for a few months now — The insurance company suddenly decided that they're not going to cover the treatments anymore”
She has to get this $15,000 treatment “once every 3 weeks”
“Honestly, this letter feels like a threat. It feels like my life is being threatened and saying, we will not pay for your life-saving treatment feels like a threat on my life.”
We need to share these stories because one day this could be any of us
We need SERIOUS reform of our healthcare industry in America
@SenFettermanPA Says the genocide cheerleader. The American people can only be pushed so far before we rise up. After the French Revolution, you really want to ally yourself with the “Let them eat cake” crowd? I can’t wait to help door knock your district to help get you out of office. Let’s go!
Congrats to my Syrian brothers and sisters on finally being free of The Butcher of Damascus! We are praying for your return to peace and prosperity. 🤲🏼
HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR WAS ICC ARREST WARRANT JUDGE
This is one of the 6 judges who examined evidence against Netanyahu and Gallant. He decided the ICC, @IntlCrimCourt, should issue arrest warrants.
His name is Theodor Meron. He's a Holocaust survivor and former Israeli ambassador to Canada.
He knows a Holocaust when he sees it.
Thank god this did not pass but how could ANY Democrat have voted for it & why didn’t house leadership @RepJeffries call for Democrats to vote “NO”⁉️
Dems better get a backbone & some discipline really fast or we’ll have no leverage to stand up to fascism much less beat it back.
@JamesSurowiecki And thinking like this is what landed us where we are now. You can’t go to a starving man and say don’t vote for the guy saying he’ll feed you because he’s a fascist while they watch you ruining their livelihood. Want to fix the problem? Admit to it first!
To recap. Democrats lost:
-White House
-US Senate
-Electoral College
-Governors Races
-Popular Vote
-Are on cusp of losing the House
If anyone really thinks its because 51% of the country is xenophobic—& not because Dems ignored their own base—it explains why Dems lost so badly.
