🚨 Despite a clear order by the LHC last week that Ahmadi places of worship built before 1984 cannot be demolished or altered, police in Shahdara Town demolished an arch in one of the places of worship.
On Friday, 15-20 policemen arrived at the location and demanded that the Ahmadis themselves demolish the Arch. Even after the community members presented the decision of the LHC to the police and told them that it was a pre-partition building, the policemen continued demolishing the structure.

Pakistani Muslim extremists chant religious slogans Labaik Ya Rasool Allah لبیک یا رسول اللہ as they burn down a #Churches Attacks come after local Muslims accused a #Christian family of #blasphemy.
Such pro-blasphemy brigades in #Pakistan are known to have state-backing. #Jaranwala #JaranwalaIncident
Another attack on Ahmadiyya Mosque in Sambrial, Sialkot. This is 18th such attack in 2023.
It was heartening to see people condemning & standing with our Christian community in Jaranwala but sadly Ahmadis are even deprived of this basic gesture of humanity.

It is refreshing to see that members of the civil society, politicians, government officials, the administration, and other activists have condemned the recent unfortunate attacks against the Christian Community in Jaranwala, and this is how it should be. The prompt action by the government, from registering a strong FIR to arresting the culprits, is much appreciated; However, this should also be extended to the most persecuted community in Pakistan. It is disheartening to witness this lack of action and vocal support for the protection of Ahmadies in Pakistan. For years, the Ahmadiyya Community has been facing these attacks and threats. Yet, this deafening silence on this issue raises questions about our collective commitment to upholding fundamental rights for all citizens. To this date, in this year alone, 17 Ahmadiyya places of worship and 13 Ahmadiyya graves and graveyards have been desecrated, which is a clear violation of religious freedom and an attack on the principles of tolerance and equality. If we fail to condemn these attacks today, then I fear that this menace will continue to engulf our entire nation.
Last night, in Lahore's Latex Colony, a violent mob stormed a small factory owned by Ahmadis. They chanted slogans "Qadyani Kafir" & then police arrived. Instead of arrested attackers they apprehended 6 Ahmadis. No FIR, No access to families to meet them, shifted to Central Jail
I am horrified to learn of the violent attacks against Christians in #Jaranwala, Punjab, today. The UK stands in solidarity with persecuted Christians in Pakistan and around the world. We must defend freedom of religion or belief for all.
This is an open #Church the victim Pastor sent me this video wherein the extremists not only vandalising Church but also took the gate away.

The Christian community of Jaranwala returns to their neighbourhood to find their homes ransacked and gutted.
“What the mob could not steal they burned to the ground,” said one woman.
Once again, we witness the state yielding to regressive pressure factions, even in the face of blatant intimidation. This showcases, perhaps in its darkest form, how victims are made to feel their existence depends on the majority's tolerance.
