I love Rock Creek and the new paved path on Piney Branch BUT can people who know more than me explain why there aren’t crosswalks at 17th and Piney Branch? I have to dash across every morning with my dog but watching two kids try to cross this morning really drives home the need.
There are lovely trails on either side of Piney Branch that you can only *safely* get to with crosswalks @ 16th/AR and then kind of but not really Piney Branch/Beach which seems like no one really thought about trail access? I can’t be the only one thinking this right?
Cheers to @EleanorNorton for cosponsoring the #EBIKEAct! Can we get federal + district level e-bike incentives in our nation's capitol happening this year? Your support will help!

This package would help identify long distance bike trails and simply the permitting process for guides and outfitters, among other #recreation policy priorities.

The #EBIKE Act is back! "More members of Congress seem to understand e-bikes and their value as a climate and equity tool after watching their popularity soar in the past couple years.” - @NoaBanayan https://t.co/g3ByK4TB7I

Thanks @DCist for sharing info about my E-BIKE bill! As we continue to invest in our protected bike lane network, we must improve inclusion and access to this expanded infrastructure while supporting the environment and our small business community!

Buying an e-bike changed my life. I ride it almost daily around DC, avoiding traffic and lowering my environmental footprint.
The E-BIKE Act will make e-bikes more affordable for residents, allowing them to enjoy the same environmental and health benefits I have.
“The fastest way communities can cut their emissions is not necessarily building out an electric-vehicle charging network that'll be live in five, 10 years. It's giving people an e-bike and giving them a safe place to ride it.” @NoaBanayan 🚴🏽♀️🚴🏼♂️ @adambearne
