Allies have come together across the world to mourn Pushpalatha, a Sri Lankan garment worker at a @BrandixLanka factory & to demand justice for her death. Fashion brands like @VictoriasSecret must take responsibility to ensure women workers are safe in the factories that make their products.

Sri Lankan garment worker, Paramsivam Pushpalatha, died in October after a @BrandixLanka factory that supplies for @VictoriasSecret refused her request to leave a shift early to seek medical attention. Since her death, @BrandixLanka has intimidated and threatened Pushpalatha’s family, coworkers, and union organizers. The Brandix Cover-Up must end immediately.

NYC Coalition of Labor Union Women leaders sent @Nike board member & @Revlon CEO Michelle Peluso a letter calling on her to meet with the workers who make Nike products: “While Nike’s leadership has ignored these women workers, we are making sure their voices grow stronger.”
Will you respond @michelleapeluso?
First, Trump made us pay higher coffee and beef prices to support a convicted coup-plotter in Brazil.
Now, he wants American taxpayers to bail out his friend Milei in Argentina.
Trump should stop raising prices for Americans and giving away our money to his corrupt buddies.
Last year, @Nike made $23 billion. Its founder is worth $35 billion. But Nike pays just dollars a day to the workers who make its products.
Today I met Dinar, who sews 222 labels an hour onto Nike products. She is paid $202 a month.
This is corporate greed at its worst.
On 21st March, 1,600+ pledgers will publish the faces of 1,000+ South and South East Asian garment workers behind Nike’s billion-dollar empire to demand living wages and labour rights.
