Saw a post this morning that genuinely broke my heart. One of our brothers is struggling to find the light right now. Out of respect for his situation I’m not going to directly @ his account but some Eagles fans will know.
Regardless if you are an Eagles fan or not, please send my brother some prayers and love. Remind him the fight is truly never over.
Mental Health is not something to take lightly, we can get so caught up in this thing we call “life” that we forget to slow down once in a while and make sure we ourselves are okay. If you realize you aren’t okay, that’s completely okay:), progress doesn’t create perfection over night. 1% better by the day, know there will be obstacles & hurdles but the mission remains the same.
To any who need to hear it, you are deeply loved, valued, wanted & needed. We see your struggles, we hear your cries for help & i promise there are people who want to help. Crossing the finish line is never the answer, your pain may go away, but you are just passing it to someone else.
My DMs are forever open to a soul who needs to talk. Fans of the game or not, at the end of the day we are all brothers and sisters under Gods image and we need to help each other no matter how dark the clouds get. ❤️
Please share this, Comment, Repost, Quote, Mental Health Awareness needs to be pushed more than ever with the world we live in.
My Brother, we are praying for you, we are sending you comfort and support in anyway possible, Please just keep fighting 🤞🏼#MentalHealthAwareness
Keith Hernandez on air: "My family lineage is burnt. My children will not have children. This is the end of the Hernandez family line, a terrible waste."
John Kruk on air: "I ever tell you the time I drank 25 shots of tequila with a member of the Mexican cartel back in 1986?"
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
When your flight was supposed to leave from LGA at 12:30, then got delayed to 2:30, and now delayed to 4.
Which means not getting to San Antonio in time. Thanks @AmericanAir
A flight full of Knicks fans and you just messed us all up.
Cristopher Sánchez finishes off a scoreless MONTH 😳
He joins Orel Hershiser (Sept. 1988) as the only two pitchers to go an entire calendar month without allowing a run since 1913 (min. 30 IP)!
