@lennysan@mosseri My assumption here is that they are good curators because they have good taste. And highly creative as they know which people’s ideas combine together to create something golden and which to discard
It often feels impossible for your content to stand out, it feels like we've seen every format.
But, these are 3 creative formats that stopped my scroll and I saved this week:
1. Rina Lipa, (Dua Lipa's sister) sharing her weird range of things she's used as a stand while on FaceTime. Including a pack of cards, loved this idea and the fact she rated each stand in the caption.
2. Dan Toomey, who makes work related skits, putting a clever spin on the typical 'Guess the song from 1 second of audio' --> and turning it into 'Guess the earnings calls from 1 second of audio'. Simple twist that takes a popular format and makes it work on brand perfectly.
3. Foraysdiary is a writer who doesn't do the typical talking head video. Instead she leans into what she's good at, and films herself while she's sharing her screen on Google Docs and writing her diary. Feels very personal and a bit like she's live-streaming.
How will social media feeds change over the next 5 years? I’m super interested to see how AI agents will change the way we all consume content.
I still like the discoverability aspect about feeds and how you do end up finding things which you didn’t initially look for. However, using agents can help us be more specific and conscious of how we consume media rather than getting lost doomscrolling. Let’s chat about it.
@eriktorenberg Love the Charts of the Week, how do you make them? Using Claude Design atm to do something similar but just feels too ‘AI sloppy’, the a16z ones don’t have that AI look
I’m trying to grow my personal brand and the company I’m at.
It’s hard.
Today’s end of day thoughts:
stop trying to do everything at once, I need pick my channels & formats and stay consistent
I’ll improve by doing the reps every day
it takes time
@FPLNima@meetgranola perfect - i listened to the Jonathan one this morning on the commute as well!
have just saved the Hidden Brain pod
another really episode is the 'modern GTM playbook' with Sam Blond from Monaco on 'The Peel pod with Turner novak'
Interacting with long-form YouTube videos is so much better with @meetgranola
Easy to make notes while watching, just have it open on one side of the screen
When I don’t understand something or want clarity on something said - I chat back and forth with granola to give me analogies, explain it in a different way
This gives me a helpful bank of notes on all the podcasts I’ve listened to and I can reference and find things super easy
Big fan
@FPLNima@meetgranola wicked thanks for reccs. you should check out the David Senra episode with Jonathan Ross from Groq, super interesting to hear about the 'daily briefing' agent he's built for a personalised news feed
