Banking with @Ally is a nightmare. They blocked access to my account and money, and I'm struggling to get back in because the security questions their authentication system automatically generated are mixing up my information with my siblings'.....
@Noahpinion My guess is academics laid the foundations, and probably continue to produce research at similar levels as always, but companies began building on those foundations and have now overtaken them in terms of sheer volume (but who can tell about quality from that graph?)
@Pentosh1 Thanks for sharing this! I only met you a couple times but you've always been a stand-up guy in my experience and people really need to hear messages like these from people like you!
@gussulliman Hilarious. Just use USDC. Same restrictions, at least there's a bit better accountability. They aren't hiding behind a fiction of being private and "decentralized".
@gussulliman I want a new alt-left movement which focuses on actually improving people's lives rather than a lot of mostly inconsequential culture war stuff.
@gussulliman Is that related to any of John C Lilly's research? I know he was real into ketamine and other dissociative psychedelics along with more traditional ones and he also worked with dolphin / human communication research.
@gussulliman Yah everything Hayao Miyazako touches is gorgeous. Haven't been following Auger for years...they seem to have slipped out of the public consciousness. Guess the team all got too rich to care about hustling anymore 🤣
@coffeebreak_YT@instagram Man.... People who expose scammers like you should get like a special license or something to prevent scammers from abusing the reporting features on these platforms
@HayesBrown Also just want to acknowledge that a very large percentage of crypto assets are cynical money grabs if not outright scams, but there are a handful with an actual reason to exist.
@HayesBrown Interesting article! Your closing sentence implies people are better off literally gambling than buying BTC or ETH, I'd argue that while yes they are very speculative and high risk, they aren't any more so than investing in an early stage tech company like Tesla.
@gussulliman Wow, I haven't heard this since I went through a phase exploring early industrial music in high school. How bout a bit of Throbbing Gristle and Front 242 to go along with that?
