In 2014, 1 GB of data cost ₹269. Today, it’s under ₹9 - 96.7% plunge that fueled India’s digital leap. Read our breakdown on how India pulled off this turnaround 👇

A decade ago, Indian telecom was trapped in bureaucratic paralysis. Governed by the archaic 1885 Telegraph Act, scarred by spectrum litigation, and throttled by municipal red tape, high-speed internet was an expensive luxury out of reach for most citizens.
That gridlock was broken by decisive structural reform. Streamlined Right-of-Way clearances, transparent spectrum auctions, and the landmark Telecommunications Act of 2023 dismantled legacy bottlenecks, laying the groundwork for the world’s fastest 5G deployment.
Crashing from ₹268.97 to just ₹8.97 per GB powered the UPI revolution, digital governance, and connected 1.4 billion people to the modern economy.

As India went digital, BJP went up and Congress went downhill.
From 2008 to 2025, internet penetration rose from 3.8% to 70%.
BJP’s Assembly seats increased from 889 to 1,654, while Congress’s fell from 1,182 to 647 during the same period.
As political outreach increasingly shifted to the digital space, the two parties’ MLA strength moved in opposite directions.

The information regarding the demise of Abhijeet’s grandmother was promptly conveyed to him with due sensitivity. He was also informed of the scheduled funeral time and offered all possible assistance to facilitate his travel to his hometown on humanitarian grounds, however he denied to avail the same.
We have seen the OHCHR’s remarks about today’s events in New Delhi.
India is the world’s largest democracy, where the right to peaceful assembly is guaranteed by our Constitution and safeguarded by robust institutions, an independent judiciary and a free media. As in every democracy, Indian citizens exercise this right subject to reasonable restrictions in the interest of public order. The authorities, for their part, act in accordance with the law, and our courts remain available to all for redressal of any grievances.
The OHCHR’s concerns are therefore misplaced and constitute an unwarranted interference in the internal affairs of India.
In this context, OHCHR would also do well to devote comparable attention to large-scale protests elsewhere, consistent with its mandate of impartiality and non-selectivity.

The claim made in this post is wrong and factually incorrect.
Delivery services, for example those provided by food apps, were earlier taxed at 18%.
The tax on these delivery services has now been reduced to 5% as recommended in the 57th GST Council meeting.
All delivery services provided through e-commerce platforms are now taxed uniformly at 5%.
So, there is no new imposition of tax. Rather, there is a reduction in tax.
You are requested to not spread incorrect news. @IndianGems_
Extremely poor from President Musk, who ensured BYD didn’t enter the US for fear of his Tesla sales crumbling . And here making an issue out of our right for national security. A great entrepreneur but a v bitter man. Earlier went after Trump claiming his name is in Epstein files only to calm down later to ensure his business doesn’t suffer. Lol Musk.
What looks like a student protest in Paris is becoming something much bigger.
A Fox News Digital investigation identifies 50 organizations connected to France's protests, but only 15 are student or youth groups.
The other 35 include communist and socialist organizations, labor unions, political parties and activist networks, raising questions about who's helping drive the movement beyond its original demands over school conditions.
The investigation also traces international connections and efforts to amplify the unrest, including tactics seen in the United States. | @foxnewspolitics

Gen Z grew up in a more stable India.
Riots in India have declined by 54% over the last decade.
That means Gen Z grew up in a far more stable India than the generations before them.
Unlike their parents, many never had to grow up amid frequent riots and prolonged unrest.
That relative stability is a privilege.
It gave millions the freedom to focus on education, careers, entrepreneurship, and building their future instead of living through recurring violence.
A generation raised amid fewer riots has more to lose when India's streets turn violent.
It's not surprising to see our colonial sepoy @rahulgandhi supporting @elonmusk in undermining our business ventures. After all, in ensuring the integrity of our country be it economic or territorial, the Nehru-Gandhi family has been acting against India for over 4 generations. From giving away PoK and Akshai Chin to distributing 2g spectrum license at decade old rates, the stories of anti-Indian activities of Nehru-Gandhi family are of course many
