Spirit Airlines died tonight at the hands of the socialist crusader, Elizabeth Warren
She must be so proud to add another casket to her achievements.
Tonight at 3am, Spirit turns off the lights. 14,000 jobs gone. 30+ smaller airports lose service.
JetBlue offered $3.8 BILLION in cash to buy Spirit in 2022. Shareholders, flight attendants union, literally everyone voted yes.
The combined company would have held 9% of the US market against a Big 4 that already owned 80%.
For anyone who understands numbers: 9% isn’t a monopoly against 80%.
Warren said no.
She wrote letters. She pressured Buttigieg. Biden’s DOJ sued. A federal judge killed the deal in January 2024.
Her argument: the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year.
Now look at her collateral damage she dusts under the rug.
510 pilots gone in the months after. 1,800 flight attendants furloughed in December.
14,000 jobs in 2023. 7,500 last week. Zero tonight.
And that’s just the people in Spirit uniforms.
Catering goes. Fuel guys go. Baggage crews, gate agents, airport coffee shops, hotels and rental cars in 70 cities Spirit flew to. Every airline job carries 3 more on its back.
40,000 people out of work because of one woman’s moronic crusade against the market.
And the math ain’t mathing.
Spirit abandoned 90 routes during the death spiral. Fares on those routes are up 14% on average. Oakland to Newark: $135 to $288. Fort Myers to San Juan: $92 to $219. Kansas City to Newark up 66%.
That’s reality. Not some BS number from a “study.”
So @SenWarren tell me how this saves the consumer money?
Cheap carriers in a market drop fares 21% across the board. Southwest did this in the 90s and saved Americans $68 BILLION over 20 years.
Warren killed it. That’s what moronic politicians led by socialism do.
Then with her own blind arrogance, she tweeted Spirit’s collapse is “a Biden win for flyers.”
A win.
14,000 people are reading termination letters tonight.
And she’s taking credit.
This is socialism in 2026.
A senator who’s never made payroll thinks she knows how to run a market better than the people who own and work in the company.
She saved you a billion on imaginary paper.
She cost you ten times that in real life.
She didn’t protect consumers from anything.
14,000+ will go from working to welfare.
She will make sure to blame billionaires, hardworking tax payers, AI, capitalism and whatever monster they will make up tomorrow hiding under your bed.
Higher taxes. Fewer jobs. More expensive everything.
She called it a win. I hope you enjoy winning.
I'm grateful that the President and his entourage are unhurt after this latest attack. May I raise my voice against the viciousness and tribalism that are so prevalent on the internet and that contribute mightily to the violence we see in our political culture. Can we please remember that it is possible to disagree with a politician's ideas without demonizing and de-humanizing him? Jesus commanded us to love our enemies, and that includes our ideological opponents.
@miyakoochi3tou When I was a child my father was a Marine and we lived in Iwakuni. Through church, we met man in the JMSDF. He was frequently a guest at our house as he taught both us violin. I have fond memories of "Tako" and the time he spent teaching me - Fair winds and following seas sir

@nanshisweets I love pumpkin pie. And more than that, my family holds a pie night the day after Thanksgiving. We have a lot of extended family in the city so are often with different families for Thanksgiving dinner but come together as a huge group the next day to share all sorts of pie!
Excuse me @SecWar but I’m about to re-enlist for my promotion to E7. Would you care to give me the oath of enlistment or pin my 7? That’s if you’re available. I’m willing to travel… Sir.
Just to be clear here, NASA declared its recent test a "successful wet dress rehearsal" despite missing its T-30s target by almost five minutes, botching the dreaded Orion hatch close out procedure, and managing to achieve up to 16% H2 due to copious leakage at the fueling interface. For reference, the lower flammability limit, and system requirement, is just 4%, beyond which this nightmare fuel can burn and detonate in air.
The "wet dress" was so successful, in fact, that they have to do it all over again in the unspecified near future. But before that, the same team ran a "(no) confidence test" on the leaky fueling interface which failed badly enough that they buried it until 8pm on the following Friday.
The SLS ground support budget runs at $650m per year, and they've had 1173 days since the last test to get this right.
Coincidentally it also took 1173 days for Hyman Rickover and his team to ship the world's first nuclear power reactor, wrapped in a fully functional submarine, for about a third of the total cost of the SLS's botched ground support equipment, in the 1950s. What a difference a serious team makes!
Furthermore, we are assured that the engineering on SLS/Orion is so rigorous and the team is so elite that it's totally okay to test fly this turkey with four currently living astronauts on it, not to Low Earth Orbit like some kind of participation trophy Starliner repeat, but all the way around the Moon, on a completely unique, untested configuration.
On the same week that a key SLS contractor's solid fueled booster rocket engine, launching a critical national security payload on a flagship national rocket, managed to explode, for the second time in three flights, for no apparent reason.
I'm going to say it. What do @CAgovernor and @SenTedCruz have in common? They both want to be President and they both will apparently go to the hilt to defend the worst national flagship infrastructure contractors in the history of the entire world. Why are they determined to ally so overtly with such conspicuous losers? What can they possibly be getting from such a raw deal? How can they possibly be so desperate?
We can choose to roll the dice with four lives on Artemis II. If they survive the launch, they can snap some really cool photos with their newly certified iPhones of the Moon shooting by out their window as they follow a trajectory that Apollo 13 took only under extreme duress. They can fulfill Artemis II's (I kid you not) "science objectives" by performing a visual inspection of the Moon that you can do yourself in the comfort of your own backyard with a $200 pair of binoculars.
But when (not if) something goes horribly wrong, I do not want to hear "no-one could have seen this coming" or "we followed a rigorous flight rationale process" or "we checked all the boxes" or "this was the best we could do".
At this point, the safest thing about the SLS and Orion is that they're so FUBARed that it might not even be possible to get them to T-0.
Astronauts and taxpayers deserve far better.
I want to say -- unequivocally-- that I agree with everything Ben says here, unless there is something he said I can't remember, but nothing comes to mind. He is at his best here and I implore you to watch this if you think a) Fuentes is not evil and b) that Tucker can be justified in any way for inviting him on and throwing him softballs and not challenging his vile answers, and c) that Heritage should not be ashamed both for their statement in defense of Tucker, and also, more shockingly, doubling down on it when reasonably and inevitably attacked for it.
As far as I know, Fuentes has been poison since he's been on the public scene, but Tucker was at one time a valuable and gifted spokesman for the right, not to mention a very nice guy. I hate saying this, but it no longer matters if he's a nice guy. It no longer matters that he did great work for conservatism. He is throwing all that down the drain for who knows what conceivable reason. Did he ever believe what he said when he was shooting bullseyes when with Fox?
Heritage, too. I can't sit back and allow my historic admiration for this august organization and for Kevin Roberts, who, like Tucker, has been nothing but nice and respectful to me in my very limited interaction with him(them). I hate taking on people I thought were on my side, but this all stinks to high heaven and if I don't have the moral courage to step up to the plate and condemn all this in the strongest terms, then I become passively complicit. I can't live with that.
Again, I beg you to watch and hear every word of Ben's podcast here, including every clip he uses letting these people speak for themselves, and explain to me, if you are so inclined, how you can conclude anything appreciably different from what I'm saying here.
Lines must be drawn, indeed they've already been drawn, and not by us. But I'm going to do everything in my power to stay on the other side of the line from these influences. These are not mere political disagreements. These are moral and spiritual inflection points from which there is no turning back. If you care about the country, if you care about the conservative movement and MAGA, and if you care about your own soul, please prayerfully consider these vital developments -- and issues.
I actually think it's a great idea to build a big ballroom on the White House grounds.
It's virtually impossible to hold events of any size there and they are always wasting millions on tents and heaters and chairs and lights and everything else.
Stop acting like you have some emotional attachment to the East Wing. You don't.
A Swedish court has ruled that the Eritrean migrant who raped 16-year-old Meya Åberg won’t be deported because the rape didn’t last long enough.
The rape took place on September 1st last year when Meya missed her bus and was walking through a pedestrian tunnel after finishing her shift at McDonald’s.
Meya and her family immediately reported it to the police.
The 18-year-old Eritrean migrant, named Yazied Mohamed, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for rape.
Mohamed is a citizen of Eritrea, and the prosecutor sought his deportation.
However, the Court of Appeal noted that the man has refugee status. Under Swedish law, deporting a refugee requires that the crime committed constitutes an “exceptionally serious offense” and that allowing them to remain in Sweden would pose a “serious threat to public order and safety.”
The rape of 16-year-old Meya was not deemed serious enough to justify deportation, with the Court of Appeal citing, among other factors, the “duration” of the rape in its assessment.
“Rape is, in many cases, considered an exceptionally serious offense that could lead to the deportation of a refugee, but an assessment must be made based on all circumstances in the individual case. Given the nature and duration of the offense in question, the Court of Appeal finds that while the crime is serious, it does not constitute an exceptionally serious offense that would warrant a deportation order for Yazied Mohamed. The request for deportation is therefore rejected,” the Court of Appeal for Upper Norrland wrote in its ruling.
Charlie Kirk never mocked or dismissed young people who were lost in gender ideology. He met them with truth, conviction, and compassion — reminding them they are not broken, but loved and worth fighting for. We will carry that torch and never stop fighting. Today we remember his legacy.
We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support for the Kirk family and for our organization during this incredibly difficult time. We are especially grateful to those who have reached out asking how they can help. Below are ways you can support, donate, and get involved:

CNN’s Dana Bash just got steamrolled by MAHA on live TV.
She tried to corner Dr. Marty Makary with a jab at RFK Jr.—but he flipped the script on her fast.
It was a moment that spoke for every fed-up mom in America. And it all started with a dirty secret hiding in your pantry.
