You are the mother🦆ucking sh¡t
You are great, you are magnificent
You can do whatever you want to do in this world
Put your mind to it, put your grind to it
And you can do it

I love when neocons like Ben Shapiro stop pretending and just admit that they think that people who work wage-based, labor-intensive jobs are filthy, stupid and disgusting. We need much more candor like this in our discourse:
Every time you avoid something uncomfortable, your brain reinforces the idea that avoidance works. It literally strengthens the pathways that make hesitation, procrastination, or excuses automatic. And every time you do the hard thing even imperfectly your brain is building a new pathway: this is something I can do.
@bluewmist You can be self-centered in a selfless way if you're morally and thoughtfully directed
And trying to be solely selfless is a hopeless endeavor and literally impossible, as everything you do is filtered through your priorities first
ADHD is exhausting.
You can fit in everywhere but feel like you belong nowhere.
You’re confident and a mess at the same time.
You could do anything, but starting anything feels impossible.
You’re funny, charming, and also done with people after 10 minutes.
You give amazing advice you’ll never take.
You probably have genius ideas and zero follow-through.
You’re social but need to disappear for days.
You love being different until people don’t get you.
You feel everything deeply and still look cold.
We make it look fun. It’s not.
The older I get, the more I realize that one of the most attractive traits is genuine enthusiasm. It's energizing to spend time around people who show real excitement for life. For people, ideas, and tiny moments. It takes courage to care so openly. Enthusiasm is contagious.
@forallcurious If so, then how does the cataclysmic pole shift every few thousand years or so factor in? Are the resets due to failing to create superintelligence or are they differing stages of a larger undertaking?
every time you replace “this is hard” with “what’s the first step?” you shift brain activity from your amygdala (fear) to your prefrontal cortex (problem-solving).
that’s neuroplasticity in real time.
What can we do to get enough of the public energized and invested in our collective future?
Enough to act. To participate. To stand up.
The timer is running. We will soon hit the point of no return.
Stop being a loser. Get up early. Make your bed. Go train. Eat clean. Do your laundry. Pay every bill on time. Save till it hurts, then save more. Pick a craft and get obsessed. Pick a person to become and start acting like them today. Care more than everyone around you. Push till you break, then get back up. Knowing when to quit isn't weakness, it's strategy. Stand up straight. Speak up. Go all in. Smile anyway. Life is short and then it's gone. Misery is a choice. You're not the first to suffer and you won't be the last. Someone with less than you made it. So will you. Nobody's special. Everybody is. Keep moving.
@DiligentDenizen It's a scary thing when much of the population is aware they are being lied to by "officials" but nothing happens. I wonder if this is what JFK's assassination (and many others) looked like as well.
Question
Why isn't it embarrassing for people to use Meta glasses (and similar) and literally be a walking surveillance system that could be recording anyone who's in front of them
How does this not make people feel creepy?
