Long overdue: In January we introduced a new trainer, Dr. Lauren Ann Metskas, and trainee, Shubham Dubey, to Purdue MBTP. Dr. Metskas is an expert in cryo-ET and cryo-CLEM, whereas Shubham is studying bacterial iron uptake in the Noinaj lab. We're so pleased to have you on board!
Needless to say, we had a BLAST at the SBBC Holiday Party! The Trees featured below include “Hockmeyer Holly”, “Christmas Eve-an”, “Chemis-tree” and “Indian Santa” @MbtpPurdue@PurdueSCBB
Join us this Thursday at 1 PM for our Fall 2021 @PurdueSCBB Grad Student Symposium! Please support our students (in-person or virtually) as they present their exciting research!

Our newest work on BAM is now out in @NatureComms led primarily by grad student/cryoEM wizard @WuRunrun! Here we characterize the conformation of BAM both natively and with trapped substrate intermediates! Congrats to all the authors! https://t.co/6dmnrlK2HE
The Noinaj lab has minted its first PhD! Big congratulations to Dr. Ravi Yadav on successfully defending his thesis! He has does exceptional work in the lab and we're excited to see what he will accomplish in the future.
Excited to share that the graduate work of our very own @YadavR21 is now out in @eLife! Here we characterize LbpB and its dual role in mediating bacterial pathogenesis. Congrats to all the authors!! Check it out here:
