@NukeForClimate @cat240359 If that was true I would advocate for saving the environment by keeping coal plants open through building nuclear plants for decades. Which is the official plan of the nuclear climate criminals in Poland. Tragedy really.
@cat240359 @NukeForClimate Tears of joy as you realize building nuclear plants guarantees that coal plants will remain in use for decades and decades. I always knew pro nuclear people actually just like the status quo
@cat240359 @NukeForClimate By the time the last one is finished according to plan in 2040 they will be on the level of Germany today. Seems really bad for the environment, they should be doing what Germany is doing now.
Disgraceful and clearly biased reporting from the BBC's @danroan who said Imane Khalife failed a testosterone test. Not true. It's not actually at all clear what test the IBA say she failed as you can see from this rather muddled letter from the IBA chairman.
@AukeHoekstra She was born a woman and spent her entire life as a woman, including participating in the last Olympics as a woman. And nobody cared because there was no active "anti woke" crusade. Suddenly a person's whole life is at stake because some people want to use her as a talking point
@TheWarOnCars "I thought he would give me a break… It really interrupted my workout and lunch plans."
Cops these days have no respect for workout and lunch plans.
@CleanPowerDave Yes, it's very disappointing. They made some small progress over the last decade, but not a lot. The energy inefficiency is the real killer
@adam_tooze@mcopelov@robin_j_brooks@FT Energy policy in disarray? A popular talking point from the outside, but the electricity prices have crashed and the rest of the world has joined the Energiewende.
@Petrol___@dorfman_p@energybants You will pay what it costs one way or the other. Some pay through bills (Germany) and some pay through taxes and pretend their electricity is cheap. The prices you posted are meaningless and even outdated. The revolution is already in full swing.
@Petrol___@dorfman_p@energybants Meaningless statistics, e.g. France pays a large portion of its electricity costs through taxes as the EDF would be bankrupt without it. Meanwhile the price in Germany today is down to 25c per kwh
