@malew51 In our household of 4 - 2 adults and 1 toddler still not had covid. Our 5yr old got it last day of term, luckily mild and didn’t pass it on. We’ve spent most of past 2yrs shielding / still very strict with precautions but 5yr old was in school.
@LucyofL Can’t agree more. We have (so far) remained negative but we are very cautious as we have 2 CV family members (me in my 30s and a 22m old). I can’t fathom how people are okay with frequent reinfection and the long term damage it will do 🤯
I cannot see how the IOM can move to “endemic” approach on 31/3 when their criteria for doing so isn’t likely to be met but all I’m seeing are freedom day style posts.. thoughts?
@VickyCollister @ronague @LawrieHooper Maybe the new (currently not peer reviewed) research showing covid’s effect on the testes / male fertility will have an impact on the “big men”!
@DandFFeatures@IainKewley Definitely agree, I have CV children. We are still shielding them (no school/nursery atm) but have started venturing out more - took them to ApeMann today. Knowing community cases really helps our decision making esp. as one is too young to be vaccinated
@SteveBN1@FinancialTimes This is one of my concerns for my CV daughters. Both IgA deficient and seems to be a high prevalence of T1 diabetes onset following covid infection in IgA deficient population (from support groups we’re in)
@Hettyetty the numbers don’t create my mental health problems. Being CV with virus in circulation and zero mitigations is what causes my mental health issues 🤦♀️. Data is important, surely as a doctor you respect that.
