SOWORE BEING SENT TO PRISON: A DANGEROUS REGRESSION FOR OUR DEMOCRACY
I have received, with deep concern, the news of the court’s remand of citizen activist Omoyele Sowore in Kuje Prison.
While the judiciary remains the ultimate arbiter of justice, we must consistently guard against any trend that gives the appearance of state institutions being weaponised to systematically stifle dissent, muzzle the press, or shrink the legitimate space for civic engagement in Nigeria.
A thriving democracy does not survive on the silencing of opposing voices; rather, it is anchored on the robust protection of fundamental human rights, most notably the freedoms of expression and peaceful assembly, as enshrined in our Constitution. Moreover, our society is already strained by insecurity and biting economic hardship; therefore, deliberate steps should be taken, even by the courts, to avoid inflaming the situation.
When we begin to treat citizen critics, activists, and journalists as threats to state survival rather than as partners in building accountability, we signal a dangerous slide toward authoritarianism. Our current challenges, ranging from economic strain to internal security vulnerabilities, require inclusive dialogue and cohesive nation-building, not the incarceration of those who demand a better society.
I urge the relevant authorities to ensure that the rule of law is strictly adhered to, that Mr. Sowore’s constitutional rights are fully protected, and that our security and judicial institutions are used solely for the impartial administration of justice. We cannot build a New Nigeria if we continue to undermine the very democratic structures meant to protect us all. -PO
You can spend your whole life inside the U.S. narrative and never encounter a single real question.
You will be asked if you support the troops.
Never if you support the wars.
You will be asked if you stand with Israel.
Never if you stand with international law.
You will be asked if you feel safe.
Never if others deserve to.
That is how you manufacture consent.
You do not ban questions.
You just never ask the right ones.
Nigeria's Cooking Gas Crisis & Why Sovereignty Matters
Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy, which also happens to sit atop the largest natural gas reserves on the continent, is, for some reason, currently going through a serious gas price crisis.
In this report for the Spearhead, @Big_Mck explores that reason, what it means for the future of Nigeria, and what the country’s over 242 million citizens must do about it.
You're 100% correct.
However, this applies to 99% of the other eurocentric African countries. None was initially conceived as a country to serve the interests of the entrapped Peoples within. The resultant countries also retained frameworks designed to benefit western interests only. These are at the root of the African problem. The issues we grapple with today are merely symptoms.
The Berlin Conference criminality must be revisited and reversed for us to make meaningful progress. But people just stop short of thinking this far back as if the countries sprang out of thin air. Without addressing the root causes, we're just chasing the wind.
Tanzania Is Our Strait Of Hormuz - Dr Maponga to Tanzanian Journalists
At the screening of 'What Happened on October 29?', Dr. Maponga had a direct message for Tanzanian journalists: Stand with the truth.
African Journalism cannot afford to be lazy or driven by external narratives. If claims are being made about Tanzania, Tanzanian journalists must be the ones asking the hardest questions, verifying the facts, and telling the world what is really happening on the ground.
Dr. Maponga challenged journalists to look beyond party politics and understand Tanzania’s strategic place in regional and global power struggles. Tanzania sits at the center of trade routes, ports, railways, minerals, and competing global interests.
So when violence, instability, and misinformation spread, journalists must ask: who benefits? Who pays the price? And whose future is being destroyed?
@iamNeare Nigeria is a giant business enterprise that was designed to serve the sole interest of the colonialist. Her independence, beyond those fine prints on a piece of paper, was never intended to translate into reality.
Nigeria was never created to function sanely.
It has been 6 months+ since Fr. Emmanuel Ezemma was abducted from his home in the dead of the night by islamic terrorists.
He was abducted on 2nd December 2025.
Something still tells me that he is alive.
I will not stop praying for his quick and safe release.
Please in your kindness, pray for his safe release.
He is a good priest from my Diocese.
Arresting people is the easy part.
Convincing billions of people that former heads of state, and the MSM, are agents of an extremely powerful transnational criminal organization, that infiltrated governments around the world, and planned to start WW3 to implement a one world government…
That’s the hard part.
How do we tell the public that the people they have been conditioned to trust, are guilty of the most heinous crimes imaginable? And the people they have been conditioned to hate, are saving the world?
How do we tell billions of people that everything they know is a lie?
The future will belong to whoever can say the forbidden thing plainly:
The U.S. is not being destroyed by extremists on the margins.
It is being devoured by "moderates" at the center.
By respectable thieves.
By credentialed parasites.
By polished degenerates.
By people who can smile through hearings, salute the flag, quote the Constitution, and still belong to the same class culture that turns mass suffering into portfolio management.
That is why the old labels are dying.
Left and right no longer explain the crime.
Only ruler and ruled do.
Only predator and human do.
What is treason?
Is the President not betraying the people? All the politicians are traitors. What's treasonous about saying the truth?
Who let these terrorists in?
Who is in charge of immigration ? Who is in charge of security? Has he not failed those mandates already? Under him, Nigeria is an existential threat to the people, who were never asked if they wanted to be part of the contraption.
Instead of looking to see how we can solve the existential threat, you're trying to gag someone.
@officialABAT
I don't blame the IMF, but our ideologically bereft, crass selfish opportunists and blood-sucking parasites masquerading as leaders. IMF will not tell you that your major problem is structural. They want your money so it's upto you to be smart or forever remain foolish.
Even if Revenue was a problem, the issue is best resolved from a root-cause perspective. Low Revenue is primarily due to lack of productivity at all levels: indolent States, arrested and rested potentials of the citizenry all lead to stagnancy.
Nigeria is a Resource Cursed, rentier state with Dutch Disease, on account of oil mono-economy. The best method for increasing all around Revenue is to tackle the economic problem at its root: structural (political). Restructuring does this by returning the contraption to its federal root and restoring fiscal decentralization and taxation, automatically diversifying the economy, creating millions of jobs, increasing productivity and the taxes from the employed millions will now run Government.
Restructuring is salvationary.
So too is balkanization which is more permanent.
But I believe Tinubu knows that the country needs to be restructured. Why he's not doing it but going through these back channels that are not salvationary is what I don't get.
Is this the same Tinubu that fought OBJ? What exactly happened to him?
Patriotic to what? To an artificial country, artificial identity imposed on them by white supremacists? Your assertion would be wonderful if it was true. But alas, it is NOT.
Many are stewpidly patriotic to the artificial entity, too eager and willing to commit ethnicide in order to fit into the plantation camp created by royal bandits to cage them. Otherwise, they have the passion and numbers to reverse course. The contraption must kpai for the original Ethnic Nationalities to live. This applies all over Africa, BTW: we must undo the criminality of the Berlin Conference bandits to create countries of like-minded individuals with frameworks designed to benefit the Ethnic Nationalities.
