As the baby of 6 raised in ATX in the 70’s my dad CHOSE to pay Catholic School tuition for us in ADDITION to, as a responsible citizen, PAY public school taxes. This was his CHOICE.

@GregAbbott_TX As a former Kindergarten teacher & 5th generation Texan you have no idea what “school choice” will do to Texas school children, sadly you do NOT seem to care. 1955-1976 my parents put me and my 5 siblings in an ATX Catholic School with no qualms about paying AISD taxes.

A lot of people seem to not realize that some students are more expensive to educate because they have higher levels of need that require additional staffing.

Private schools simply do not accept those students in the first place.
