QuantumScape’s Hidden AI Infrastructure Thesis $QS
Why the company’s AI infrastructure strategy could become a second multi-billion-dollar licensing platform
I ran some numbers of the proposed DC rack sizes with integrated in the rack BBUS (1 MW, 1.2MW, 2MW)
After a certain number SSB batteries become more of a clear winner, not a necessity, but overall better economics considering all factors (density, thermal runway and associated cooling, etc)
@PSInvestor Great run down, and I completely agree with many of the points here. I personally think we see QSDC first-
I think if/once $qs is validated in a mission critical DC, as they call it, the company will attract more capital and customers very quickly
@Defiantclient2 I can see why some people sold, they were married to the idea of EV’S. Thats obviously not going away , but this will put money into the company A Lot faster.
Two very different types of customers (oems vs hyperscalers)
The first addressable market for $qs will be Data Centres. And that’s a not a bad thing at all.
The tech unlock will come through a TAM equal to the EV OEM market:
@Defiantclient2 It’s the perfect application at just the right time. And the margins will be a lot fatter.
BBUs are an essential part of the $nvda rack design going forward
@TRobinsonNewEra Come to Canada Tom- some people here are so turned off by success, the loath a person they’ve never met. Probably because they’ll never achieve even a fraction of what Elon has.
It truly is a woke mind virus
Mark Zuckerberg is launching a new AI campaign built around one idea: optimism.
"As we enter this next wave with AI, we continue to believe the future is for everyone... We're focused on giving every person the tools to reach your full potential and making sure the benefits of technology are distributed to everyone."
The Meta CEO released a new video outlining the company's approach to AI, contrasting it with what he described as a growing "fear" or "dystopian" narrative surrounding the rapidly evolving technology.
"Some people will have you believe AI will make us less connected... We couldn't disagree more. Call us optimists, call us dreamers. Just as we've always done, we're betting on people."
The campaign arrives as Meta ramps up its push to lead the rapidly evolving AI race.

$qs do you understand ?
They reduced physical research hours going into Powerco, reducing expenses, with net neutral cash impact.
While aggressively pursuing AI DC deployment for 2028
- All signal, no noise from here until tech unlock

"We're here today to continue the incredible progress we’re making in communities nationwide to ensure that as new data centers go up... electricity bills for American families will actually come down." - President Donald J. Trump
$qs In 2026 Quantumscape initiated their first federal engagement, retaining firm Tiger Hill Partners to represent the company.
In this engagement $qs is targeting defence and Artificial intelligence.
The U.S. House passes the roughly $1.2T National Defense Authorization Act authorizing nearly 30% more defense spending.

@CGWeatherHub 100% . As a business owner- it is looking rough, from our suppliers to customer bookings.
Crazy people are walking around like nothing is happening . I guess what else can they do
@DrJStrategy Upgrading the ports at this stage of mental gymnastics, would take 5 plus years. Canadians need to be told the truth about our economy so they can plan accordingly
@JimboRooney13 AI data centers will unlock commercial production of their technology , way faster than Vehicles or a race bike.
They know it, so they’re refocusing their priorities. It doesn’t matter how the tech gets unlocked , the ecosystem still gets built while it happens
They are living a different life for sure. Honestly -it would be nice to see the playing field get levelled but being realistic the government just won’t let it happen and it’s gone too far to unwind .
The only answer is to get people paid more , which can only happen if companies make more stuff and Canada opens itself up to its allies
I really hope people understand the playbook of crash, government intervention and recovery is worn out.
We have so much leverage and household debt, the TFWs are already here and their boost is used up. A few percentage points here or there and building anything becomes unfeasible . it already is, as you know.
While a deep prolonged depression sounds scary , something else is worse- a permanent upper class and permanent lower class- forever priced out of assets.
Policy makers need to look at means to dramatically produce actual goods at 2-5x our current output - That means AI adoption and automation. It also means less taxes and subsidies for foreigners
I’m telling you, they are not inflated for the average construction company. They are getting by on razor margins even with cheap labor.
The average wage outside of construction needs to increase . Wages have not kept up. Average income should be over 100k CAD and taxed no more than 25%
If you are looking at a 750k home and a two income household can take home 150k net then the housing price issues disappears, and disposal income re appears, bolstering construction- construction workers spend and so on.
Wages should be have increased relatively but have not outside of construction.
Go to Tim Hortons, order a coffee, and you might stumble on to the answer as to why that is.
You can only mask a problem with TFWs for so long.
The Construction industry is the last line of defence for our economy , if it fails- it will Be very bad
