This is an Iranian proposal with zero explicit US support. Why try to cut the legs out from under a deal via manipulative reporting?

Why not frame it as it is which is something the Iranians have proposed that the US could leverage to effectively privatize the country while using Gulf state funds NOT US taxpayer’s. Could be a great benefit to the region, to the US, and the global order.

The US has never been in a better negotiating position to deal with the CCPs silly little Taiwan demands. The foreign influence they’ve spent decades, billions, made their economy reliant upon have been asymmetrically dismantled in the last 12 months.

Political influence networks built over decades have been shattered via US led security realignment.

This assumes 500,000 physical and over a thousand logical qubits can break the security in minutes. Those achievements are at absolute best estimates 10-15 years away and applying that bleeding edge technology to illegal actions even further away. We largely have the tech to make crypto quantum resistant and implementation is the long pole. Implementation hastens if risks are relevant. This is not the hair raising moment people are selling it to be.
