@DorisKluin sir you are just a retarded brick layer who thinks they are an architect, it wont be you who benefits from the technology, if anything it is the professionals with taste that will leverage it the most. you will have fun for a while and then never make anything with AI again
The problem with these retarded takes is that they assume artists want to skip the creative and laborious part of the task, it would be akin to thinking an actor just wants to see himself in the movie and not actually act. The Journey is the reward
Game devs, instead of getting mad that AI can do things you spent years learning, imagine what you could build with all that experience AND AI.
We have the opportunity to make games that were never possible before. Why aren't we more excited about that?
@PenumbraDweller@Justin_Schmidt1 some people want to rape, rape bad, society say no no.
Ai art theft, stolen work, bad bad, make human art unlikely, people get together and might decide its also no no.
hope it helps
Theory of Moral Sentiments
The Social Contract
The works of Hayek
@The76thIcePop This is not how it works, you are not just doing what you want without harm, you are actively destroying the ability of people who actually want to do that thing for a living, while using their own stolen product to create those tools. The inception for the tool is criminal
@gabefollower I also feel the same, but i think we might have reached peak content, maybe we are tiring of just consuming and being given takes all the time.
@COGs_Anemyre if the argument is that, "that is the market" then humanity will cease to be economically viable very soon after. Its just not a very good argument, technology should help humanity flourish, not curse it to a meaningless existence
@COGs_Anemyre exactly but the point is, as humans we want to be able to make a living from that which is human, why should we collectively sacrifice the ability to do whatever it is for a living simply because others would like to do it without effort from stolen work?
@threerubles I understand, i have to fight myself every day to do it, but that is what it takes to be called an artist or anything really, doing the thing, turns you into something. Some people do not want to be musicians, they want to be famous so they do not care about the work as an eg
@PenumbraDweller@Justin_Schmidt1 Its called an analogy, look it up, in this case the argument is that not everything you can/want to do should be done or freely given, which is what his argument was. Maybe read some books :)
@GooseplanJD@AshConnell I do not simply have to accept anything, not sure who told you that is the case but several times people have decided they did not like where the world was going and did something about it. Not sure where you learned techno fatalism
@thomasbrushdev it will be difficult for a while, game feel and world building plus just vibes are still not something the models get, for now at least
@dylanhendricks i know your reading comprehension is probably lower than the 50th percentile but he is asking why the people who enjoy doing their craft are not happy.
@AshConnell and besides you are the one asking why the people who started doing a craft because of the joy of participating in the process are not happy with a tool that removes that process......
@AshConnell You will find very soon that by that metric, humans will cease to be viable. I like efficiency more than most but that does not mean that i want it to override meaning or the fabric of society. Not everyone agrees on "your" vision of what society aught to be
