Is there a name for a disabled kid’s childhood and youth, where their parents would have been ok parents to an abled kid but failed the parts of parenting that a disabled kid needs?
Support neglect?
I’m thinking of a lot of quite different things, like fighting to get your kid AAC, helping your kid building a sense of identity as a disabled person and helping kid learning coping skills and fighting for your kid’s right to helathcare and education.

Realizing that I have spent my life scripting things to say just to make other people happy and make social interactions go "smoothly" at the cost of my own mental health, personal integrity, and self-identity is an masked Autistic experience... right?
Content: trauma, sex, reproductive health
I know that increased libido is common, but I'm also thinking of other emotional reactions. Like traumas surfacing, feeling all sorts of emotions more strongly etc.

Being disabled means that it's very difficult to ever getting to do the things I actually can do and that I'am good at, because admin stuff around it, poor planning etc. means that I fail no matter what.
A couple of hours ago I made the decision to leave a project that I've been working on for mor than a year.
My part is done, but because of another person's lack of doing their part, the end product will only be half.
I'm so sad right now.
I just wanted to finish a project, contributing to the world with skills I actually have, and showing myself that it could be done without ruining my health.
The autistic urge to be extremely specific about what I need - with the purpose of making it easier for the other person - but not daring because I will then be accused of being bossy, not flexible enough and too demanding.
You cannot wellness your way out of disability - stop telling disabled people to just take supplements/eat clean/do a special exercise regimen etc. I promise you - they already have heard it and are tired of it. #LongCovid#MECFS#hEDS

Abled ppl: ”Why didn’t you let us know that you needed support? You have to open up and ask for help.”
Abled ppl: ”You have to try to do this, otherwise you won’t know what you’re able to do.
Me: Tries, fails or succeeds but is completely destroyed and can’t repeat it.
Abled ppl: ”See, you can do it. You’re not disabled, you just lack confidence and motivation.
