C(ritical)I(frastructure)P(rotection) programs are in place to specifically address vulns like RCE, etc by applying layered approaches including air gapping, patching, monitoring, and all the "basics" that nobody ever seems to really do. It's pretty amazingly basic, but difficult to accomplish
