@lauriewired A lot of non-electronics have regressed so much. Esp clothing, custom fit is order of magnitude more expensive, synthetic materials are largely uncomfortable and retain body odor. Wool and down are still superior for warmth while wet and/or compressibility.

And also sun exposed glazing , none of these rural houses have glazing or their windows just have wooden closures and roof overhangs
