Hiring her made me 10x productive!
My close friend has an EA from last 6 years. He has been pestering me for years to hire one but I was skeptical.
Why?
- I thought EAs were for late stage founders or corporate CEOs.
- I had no bandwidth for more communication
- I assumed they’d have limited skills, so why waste time?
Turns out, my assumptions were wrong! I’ve been working with a virtual assistant for the past 4 weeks and I’ve never been more productive.
•My calendar? Organized. Team follow-ups? Handled.
•Parents' travel plans + gifts across 3 continents? Done.
•Vendor negotiations? Sorted.
•CRM updates, analyzing data, and writing docs? On point.
It’s like magic. I just dump tasks on WhatsApp or Slack (voice notes, mostly), and they’re done. V high quality output.
Here’s the tip : Find someone who is smart, dedicated, hungry to work, has good communication and is tech-savvy, and you can get a lot of shit sorted. AI + human EA can make your life so simple (esp. when they use AI to do a lot more).
P.S. - I found my VA through a startup @WishUpNow (recommended by my friend). Happy to introduce you to them if you want to chat. Wishing loads of success to Wishup. Wish I had discovered you guys earlier. :)
Resourceful people navigate problems better.
Those who aren’t resourceful often play the victim and succumb to hurdles.
Resourcefulness is an attitude first and then eventually a skill.
Those who suck at giving, suck at being resourceful. Resourceful people are net givers.
