BREAKING: The Trump administration voted to let Big Oil ignore every endangered species protection in the Gulf of Mexico.
In a single meeting, Trump's corrupt cabinet gave oil companies a free pass to kill endangered whales & sea turtles so they can drill without limits.
🧵
You're paying more for groceries. More for gas. More for healthcare.
All while Trump is spending your money on a gaudy 250-foot arch by Arlington Cemetery, a UFC cage on the South Lawn, and tearing down the East Wing to build his ballroom. This needs to stop.
Thanks for having me on @MSNOWNews to discuss, @ChrisJansing!
This administration is using YOUR taxpayer dollars to cancel renewable energy projects and protect insurrectionists at the same time.
Why do my Republican colleagues in the Subcommittee on Natural Resources Oversight and Investigations stay silent? What kind of upside-down reality are they living in?
Trump is spending your taxpayer dollars on vanity projects for himself instead of making lives better for working people.
Proud to join @NRDems in calling for a hearing about the waste of taxpayer spending on the ballroom, arch, and other dumb projects.
A laughably absurd argument, but consistent with their pattern of ignoring Congress.
They'll pull at any straw they can find to build Trump's stupid vanity projects.
Breaking news: The Trump administration does not plan to seek approval from Congress for President Trump’s planned 250-foot arch, arguing that they do not need it because lawmakers a century ago authorized a somewhat similar project that was never built. https://t.co/z3EEINAckw
Absolutely disgusting comment from the GOP Chair. Police officers were brutalized defending the Capitol from a violent insurrection. Officer Sicknick bravely fought and died.
Shame on anyone who lies about those facts.
.@RepHuffman: Trump is now paying out $1.8 billion to the people who participated in the insurrection against our nation, who beat, gassed, and killed police officers.
Rep. Gosar: Wrong, there were no police officers killed by the J6ers.
Huffman: Tell that to Brian Sicknick.
Gosar: No, he actually died of natural causes.
Huffman: Oh, you've done the forensics on that? That will be big news to his family. Shame on you.
Yesterday, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum swore under oath that Trump's Arch was "not even a proposal," claiming it was just a "discussion."
Today, @RepHuffman was standing in front of the industrial drilling rig starting work on it.

Trump's budget proposal will make communities less safe from environmental disasters.
At @NRDems, I asked @SecretaryBurgum about Trump's plan to merge two key bureaus that protect our environment and keep our communities safe.
He couldn't answer. It is clear that Trump wants to continue selling off our public lands and waters to polluting billionaire donors while environmental justice communities suffer.
As Americans struggle to afford groceries, the Trump administration is awarding millions of taxpayer dollars in no-bid contracts for the President’s vanity projects.
This is micromanagement at its worst. One of the most important roles of the Department of the Interior is to issue grants for communities across the country – communities represented by Democrats and Republicans alike. Yet, the Trump Administration recently changed this process to require Secretary-level approval of all grants over $50,000, meaning the Secretary would need to approve a grant every ten minutes every day until the end of the calendar year to get this critical funding out the door. I pushed @SecretaryBurgum for answers because the American people deserve transparency and accountability. While I didn’t get a clear answer, you can take a look at what he had to say below ⬇️
Americans want national parks. Not a ballroom most will never get to use. Yesterday, I asked Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum if he had ever stood up to Trump for cutting a billion from national parks while spending the same amount on a ballroom. He refused to answer. I think that speaks for itself.
