पूरा देश जानता है कि राजस्थान में भाजपा सरकार में अवैध खनन का खेल धड़ल्ले से चल रहा है। सत्ता के संरक्षण में माफिया बेरोक-टोक अरावली को छलनी कर रहे हैं। खुद सरकार के मंत्री भी कई बार प्रदेश में हो रहे अवैध खनन की बात स्वीकार कर चुके हैं।

ऐसे में आखिर क्या कारण है कि अरावली की परिभाषा से जुड़ी कमेटी रिपोर्ट देने में देरी कर रही है? क्या कमेटी पर किसी तरह का दबाव है? अरावली की परिभाषा तय करने के लिए बनाई गई हाई पावर्ड कमेटी को हर हाल में 30 नवंबर तक रिपोर्ट देनी है, लेकिन कमेटी के द्वारा रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट में 6 माह की समय सीमा बढ़ाने की दलील देना समझ से परे है।

ऐसे अब सब स्पष्ट होता जा रहा है कि प्रदेश की प्राकृतिक संपदा की लूट के लिए भाजपा सरकार और खनन माफियाओं की मिलीभगत ही अरावली के अस्तित्व पर हमला कर रही है।

What are Shah's MHA and Delhi Police doing to stop this growing lawlessness, especially against people from the Northeast?

The senseless murder of renowned musician from Manipur, Chongtham Vikram Singh ji, in the heart of Delhi is a national shame. He was brutally beaten and murdered only for asking some people to make less noise.

Is this what it’s come to? Is there no safety for a young father even at his own doorstep? Justice must be done. The Delhi Police must immediately take action against those who committed this murder. This is the national capital, we cannot allow violence to rule our city unchecked.

Five years have passed since we lost Ajitesh Mridul @scotchism on this day. The calendar has moved on, but the absence has not.

I still catch myself thinking of him in the middle of work, in quiet moments, and whenever a conversation turns to the idea of India he believed in so fiercely.

He was much younger, yet I learnt from him constantly. A brilliant, kind and restless mind, a staunch Congressman and a passionate voice for social justice.

दिल्ली में इमारत ढहने के हादसे में कई लोगों की मृत्यु का समाचार बेहद दुखद है। पीड़ित परिवारों के प्रति मेरी गहरी संवेदनाएं हैं और घायलों के शीघ्र स्वास्थ्य लाभ की कामना करता हूं।

दिल्ली में बार बार ऐसे हादसे हो रहे हैं, कुछ दिन पहले होटल में आग से दर्जनों लोग जलकर मारे गए थे, उससे पहले लाइब्रेरी में पढ़ते बच्चों की जान गई थी। लगता है दिल्ली में बैठी दोनों सरकारों की संवेदनशीलता खत्म हो चुकी है, इसलिए उन्हें बार बार हो रहे इन हादसों से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ रहा। इमारतों की पहचान, मरम्मत और सुरक्षा मानकों के पालन को लेकर अब गंभीरता से काम होना चाहिए, वरना यह सिलसिला थमने वाला नहीं है।

कल हादसे के बाद एनएसयूआई और यूथ कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने बचाव कार्य में जो योगदान दिया वह सराहनीय और संवेदनशीलता की मिसाल है।
