Genocidal dog-whistles from the @ChiefAdviserGoB Dr. Yunus' special aide Mahfuj Alam:

"No reconciliation"

"Will counter attack against Mujibism"

"No mercy for the purveyors of the killers' ideology"

"We don't believe in politics of elimination, but no mercy for Mujibists"

"Not an inch of space will be given to any thuggish or civil Mujibists"

Suffice it to say, Mahfuj Alam, who Dr. Yunus introduced in New York as the "mastermind" of the recent #QuotaMovement in #Bangladesh is referring to the leaders, workers, and activists of #AwamiLeague.

With mass-killings (at least 102 killed since Aug 5), mass-arrests (7,000+ arrested in first week of Oct alone), and mass-purges (from all trades and professions in the last 2 months) of @albd1971 aligned people, such genocidal language needs to be taken quite literally.

Int'l community needs to keep a close eye on Bangladesh for the next few days.

Those who committed crimes during the movement would all be exonerated of their crimes as long as they supported the students. Family members of the police officers and everyone else who lost a loved one during those times are unable to pursue justice for their loss. Emboldened with impunity under reform, BNP leaders take oath publicly to exterminate every single citizen affiliated with Awami League

In broad day light, hundreds of BNP leaders, led by Jamal Uddin, president of Joggochola Union, Manikchari Upazila, in hill tracks area, took a veiled oath to accomplish pogrom --hunt down and kill citizens affiliated with Awami League—. The oath taking is driven by single motto-- wipe out the oldest party. On October 10, around 4:00 p.m., this group of BNP leaders pledged to inflict all out measures to exterminate Awami League leaders and activists.
